The Wordle answer for February 20, 2025, was ROACH, puzzle #1,342. It was not #1,707: that number belongs to a separate Wordle dated February 20, 2026.
February 20, 2025 Wordle answer
ROACH was the answer to Wordle #1,342 on Thursday, February 20, 2025. The date and answer are listed by the Wordle Today archive and a second answer archive. The Economic Times’ contemporaneous report also identifies the puzzle as #1,342.
Why the title’s #1707 number is different
The #1,707 result is dated February 20, 2026, not February 20, 2025. ABP Live’s February 20, 2026 item identifies that later puzzle as #1,707. The year matters: the two February 20 puzzles are a year apart and have different numbers and answers.
Reported solving average
The Economic Times reported that WordleBot players solved the February 20, 2025 puzzle in an average of approximately 3.3 moves. This is a secondary report of WordleBot’s figure, not an independently verified official statistic.
