What new weapons are in the Waves of Lead update?
Saber describes Waves of Lead as new free content for World War Z: Aftermath. Its October 5, 2026 patch notes name two new weapons:

- Bullpup Shotgun BSG-12: a tier-three firearm with a unique perk.
- Gas Pipe Wrench: a heavy melee weapon with a unique perk.
The notes do not give damage, handling, or other combat statistics for either weapon, so they do not support a performance comparison.
How do you unlock the BSG-12 or Gas Pipe Wrench?
The official patch notes do not state an unlock challenge, currency cost, progression threshold, or location to claim either weapon. They also do not give a menu path or instructions for equipping them. Saber’s Steam announcement repeats the update announcement without adding those instructions.

So the accurate answer is that the weapons are part of the update, but their acquisition steps are not documented in these official announcements. Any specific unlock task or menu route would be unverified; check the game’s current in-game weapon screens for available options rather than relying on a guessed procedure.

What new heavy-weapon perks were added?
The update also lists six Heavy Weapons Perks, each associated with a weapon. Saber names the perks but does not describe their effects or explain how to unlock or select them.

Three frames have challenge conditions listed in the patch notes:
- Mummy: finish off the Infector 100 times.
- Hippocratic Oath: restore 1,000 total health to allies.
- Sapper: disarm and finish off the Bomber 50 times.
Valhalla Raider Weapon Skin Pack
The announced cosmetic pack includes skins for the Geist 17MP, ARK-103, BSG-12, Paladin LMG, and Taiga-12. The patch notes do not state its price, purchase path, or regional or platform availability.
