What did 2K announce about release timing?
The January announcement scheduled the three special editions for March 6, 2026, and the Standard Edition for March 13, 2026. Those were the announced release dates, not upcoming dates. 2K’s WWE 2K26 newsroom index later recorded the special editions’ availability announcement on March 6.

What gameplay details followed the reveal?
In a February 5 gameplay report, 2K outlined four new match types: Dumpster, I Quit, Three Stages of Hell, and Inferno. The official Ringside Report also described interactive environments and objects, surprise attacks, actions that can happen at the start of a match, programmable AI sequences, rivalries appearing in more modes, and presentation changes.
The later gameplay details provide a clearer picture of what the reveal led to, but they do not explain the earlier Raw omission or establish that the omission changed the announcement schedule.
