As of October 8, 2026, 2K says WWE 2K26 features more than 400 playable characters, but its official launch announcement does not provide a complete name-by-name roster. It confirms a representative selection of base-game characters, while Ringside Pass releases have added more names through Season 5. The lists below separate those confirmed base-game examples from post-launch content; they are not an exhaustive roll call.
How large is the WWE 2K26 roster?
2K describes the game as having more than 400 playable characters, spanning current Superstars from RAW, SmackDown and NXT, along with Legends and WWE Hall of Famers. That is a playable-character figure, not a count of 400 unique active wrestlers. Ringside Pass content adds characters beyond the base game. The documented releases listed here run through Season 5, available starting September 9, 2026. Although 2K initially announced plans for six seasons, the sources cited here do not establish that Season 6 has been released or identify any Season 6 additions. How to read the DLC names and Personas
New roster additions versus alternate looks
A Superstar announced as a new addition is not the same thing as a Persona. Season 3’s Matt Cardona, La Parka, Torrie Wilson and Brian Pillman were identified as new Superstars; Kane ’01 and Rey Mysterio ’01 were described as Personas. Season 5 similarly distinguishes its Premium Track additions from alternate Persona versions on the Free Track. This matters when counting new playable roster entries: an alternate year or faction look should not automatically be treated as a first-time roster debut.
Base game versus Ringside Pass
The launch roster and post-launch Pass rewards are separate categories. A Ringside Pass character may require the relevant Premium Pass, while the cited season announcements specifically identify some rewards as Free Track or available to all players. Do not assume every character in a season announcement has the same access requirement.

2K announced WWE 2K26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. The Standard Edition was dated March 13, 2026; the announcement also described King of Kings, Attitude Era and Monday Night War editions.
