Xbox described this as the fourth Developer_Direct and part of its 25th-anniversary year. The show was a free public stream; watching it did not require an Xbox console or Game Pass subscription.

Language and subtitles
Xbox said viewers could select a preferred language through the relevant regional Xbox page or the language controls in the official YouTube player. Options can vary by region and by individual video, so check the player’s subtitle and audio menus rather than assuming every language is available everywhere.
Watching without an Xbox
A web browser, phone, tablet, PC, smart-TV app, YouTube app or Twitch app is sufficient. The event was a stream, not a playable demo.

What was shown
Fable
Playground Games presented the first extended look at the Fable reboot, including new gameplay and development insight from the team. Xbox’s pre-show announcement promised a deeper developer-led presentation; it did not promise a release-date reveal at that stage. Treat any later launch or platform information as post-show information rather than something known when the event was first announced.

The Forza team showed the first gameplay from Forza Horizon 6, set in Japan. The presentation highlighted Japanese landscapes, open-world driving and cars including the 2025 GR GT Prototype and 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser, according to Xbox’s recap: official recap.

Windows Central reported a May 19, 2026 release date for the Xbox and PC versions: Windows Central’s report. Because release timing and platform availability can vary by edition and region, check the current first-party listing before buying or subscribing.
Beast of Reincarnation
Game Freak, the studio best known for Pokémon, gave an in-depth look at Beast of Reincarnation, a separate action RPG. Xbox’s announcement said the segment would take viewers to Tokyo to meet the development team. It is not a Pokémon title.

Kiln
The final event package also included the surprise announcement of Kiln, a new game from Double Fine. It was not part of the three-game lineup Xbox named before the broadcast, which is why older event guides may omit it.
How long was the show?
Coverage gives different figures for the complete video, ranging from roughly 45 minutes to about 52 minutes and 48 seconds. Those totals may include introductions or other material, so the safest description is that the presentation ran for roughly an hour. Individual game segments are shorter and may be easier to find in Xbox’s video channels.
