Fix 0x87e50031 in the safest order

Test internal and external storage
If the failing title is on a USB external drive, shut the console down completely before disconnecting that drive; never unplug storage while the console is reading or writing data.
- Power off the console using the 10-second button procedure.
- Disconnect the external drive.
- Start the console and launch a game installed on internal storage.
- If the internal game works, reconnect the external drive only after shutting down again and test the affected title.
If games work internally but fail from the external drive, the drive, cable, enclosure, or installation may be involved. When several games or apps fail
- Restart, then perform the full power cycle if a normal restart did not help.
- Check Xbox service status, account sign-in, and network connectivity.
- Install any console update and note the system version under Settings > System > Console info.
- Try a title installed internally and, if possible, test another account. This helps separate storage and licensing problems from console software problems.

If you mean the Xbox app on Windows
Console power-cycle steps do not repair the Windows Xbox app. Update Windows, then open Microsoft Store and use Library > Get updates. When to contact Xbox Support
Contact Xbox Support if the code affects every game, the console repeatedly crashes or cannot update, a reset fails, or the console shows storage symptoms, unusual noise, overheating, or spontaneous shutdowns. If a normal update repeatedly fails, use Microsoft’s official recovery or offline-system-update documentation rather than unofficial firmware files or button combinations.
