Yes—the offer was real, but it is no longer available. In March 2023, eligible U.S. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers could claim about 60 days of Peacock Premium Plus, in time to stream WrestleMania 39. The event took place April 1–2, 2023, and the promotion’s reported claim and redemption deadlines passed that summer.
What the 2023 Xbox–Peacock offer included
This was a limited-time Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perk, not a permanent benefit bundled with every Game Pass plan. Perks are promotional offers that can rotate, have their own deadlines and eligibility rules, and vary by region.
Contemporary reports described the Peacock benefit as a two-month, or roughly 60-day, trial. The promotion was aimed at U.S. Ultimate subscribers; it did not mean that every Game Pass member worldwide received Peacock access. Reports also described it as Peacock Premium Plus, although some coverage used “Peacock Premium” more loosely. Those names refer to different tiers, so the precise tier depended on the offer presented to the eligible account.

Why it covered WrestleMania 39
Peacock carried WrestleMania 39 in the United States. Peacock’s event schedule listed the two-night event—also billed as “WrestleMania Goes Hollywood”—for Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, 2023. Both main shows began at 8 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Pacific), with kickoff programming earlier. An eligible subscriber who activated the trial before the event could use Peacock to watch it.
This was a U.S.-specific arrangement, not a worldwide WrestleMania viewing pass. Peacock’s availability and WWE streaming arrangements are region-dependent.

How redemption worked at the time

- Sign in to the Microsoft account with an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
- Open the Xbox Game Pass app on a supported Xbox console, Windows PC, or mobile device, then go to Perks.
- Find the Peacock promotion and select it to reveal or generate the offer code or activation instructions.
- Follow the link to activate the offer with a Peacock account. A payment method could be required.
- Note the trial end date and manage or cancel the Peacock subscription before renewal if you did not want to continue as a paid subscriber.
That is a description of the expired offer, not a current menu walkthrough. Labels and steps could vary by app, device, and region, and the Peacock promotion will not appear in Perks now.

Historical offer listings reported a June 30, 2023 claim deadline and an approximately July 7, 2023 redemption deadline. Claiming the perk and redeeming its code were separate steps; meeting one deadline did not necessarily extend the other. These dates come from contemporary offer reporting, not a current Microsoft policy.
Eligibility and billing caveats
Contemporary listings described the offer as intended for new Peacock subscribers and said existing Premium or Premium Plus subscribers could be excluded. Peacock could also apply its own promotional eligibility checks. An expired or non-Ultimate Game Pass account, a location outside the eligible market, a previously claimed offer, or a code past its redemption deadline could all prevent activation. A required payment method could also be a barrier. The offer was not guaranteed to every Ultimate member.

Peacock’s terms explain that promotion-specific conditions may apply and that an account with a payment method may renew at the then-current subscription price after a promotional period unless canceled under the applicable terms. The historical post-trial price reported for this deal should not be mistaken for today’s price. Check the plan and renewal details shown in your Peacock account; if you activate any trial, record its end date, cancel before renewal if you do not want to pay, and confirm the cancellation status. Uninstalling the app does not itself cancel a subscription.
Premium Plus is generally the higher, mostly ad-free tier, rather than a promise that every program is interruption-free. Peacock’s current plan descriptions note exceptions such as live sports and events, sponsored content, and selected titles. That current description should not be read as a full account of every detail of the 2023 offer.

No. WrestleMania 39 is a past event, and both reported 2023 offer deadlines have passed. A current Game Pass Ultimate subscriber should not expect to find this specific Peacock Perk or be able to redeem its code. Current Peacock plans and WWE programming are separate from that expired promotion; see Peacock’s WWE page and current plan information for what is available now. Catalogs, prices, and availability can change, so neither page revives the old trial or guarantees that a particular archive event is currently included.
