The Xbox showcase recap titled “Xbox Gamescom 2025 Showcase: All Game Announcements and Recap” covers the August 21 Xbox @ gamescom broadcast, the second of Xbox’s two booth broadcasts. It includes game reveals, release and platform updates, and event hardware. Xbox’s August 19 Opening Night Live announcements were a separate segment, so they’re listed separately below.
What was the Xbox Gamescom 2025 showcase?
Xbox’s gamescom coverage ran across three distinct broadcasts: Opening Night Live on August 19, followed by Xbox @ gamescom broadcasts on August 20 and 21. The title-matched recap covers the August 21 broadcast, not all Xbox news from the week. Xbox had scheduled both booth broadcasts for 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. EDT / 2 p.m. BST / 3 p.m. CEST. Xbox’s event schedule listed features for both days in advance; that schedule should not be treated as confirmation of every item in the later recap.

The Cologne event ran August 20–24, 2025. Xbox said its booth would feature more than 20 games across more than 120 gaming stations, with public hands-on opportunities for selected games and the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds, developed with ASUS. Those figures and plans describe Xbox’s event announcement, not total gamescom attendance or viewership.

August 19: Xbox news at Opening Night Live
Opening Night Live was a separate gamescom broadcast, not the August 21 Xbox @ gamescom showcase. Xbox’s official August 19 recap highlighted these announcements and updates:

- World of Warcraft: Midnight received a cinematic, and the show included a teaser for season two of the Fallout television series.
The August 19 recap gave October 21, 2025, as the then-scheduled release date for Ninja Gaiden 4 and October 29, 2025, for The Outer Worlds 2. These are historical announced dates, not future release guidance.
What Xbox planned for the August 20 broadcast
In its advance schedule, Xbox named ROG Xbox Ally, Grounded 2, Keeper, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 among the August 20 broadcast features. This is useful context for the two-day booth program, but it is not the day-two recap’s lineup. Xbox also described demos for Grounded 2 and third-party games, a hands-on opportunity for Ninja Gaiden 4, and a theater presentation for The Outer Worlds 2 at the event.
