Then compare the same playlist on Jio mobile data and Wi-Fi. That can help locate the problem, but it does not prove Jio is causing it: YouTube and Jio do not document a Jio-specific playlist Autoplay fault.
First identify what is stopping
Three YouTube features can look like the same problem, but they behave differently:
- Autoplay: YouTube starts another video after the current one ends. This is the setting to check if the next playlist item does not start while YouTube remains open.
- Playlist Loop: YouTube repeats the playlist after it reaches the end. It does not repair a failure to advance to the next item.
- Background play: Playback continues after you leave YouTube or lock the screen. YouTube says mobile background play requires Premium; it is separate from foreground playlist Autoplay.
Note whether the issue happens in the foreground, only after leaving the app, or when the playlist reaches its end. Keep that symptom consistent during the checks below.
Check Autoplay and the playlist
Turn on Autoplay on the affected device
On a phone or tablet, open a video’s watch screen and check the Autoplay switch in the player. You can also open your profile, go to Settings > Autoplay, and check the setting there. Autoplay is controlled per device, so check the phone, browser, TV, or cast session that is actually failing; do not assume a setting on another device carries over.

Keep YouTube in view while testing
YouTube says scrolling past the player or entering a comment or search can prevent the next video from starting automatically. For a clean test, start the playlist and leave the player visible until the video ends.
Autoplay also stops after inactivity: YouTube’s help page says after 30 minutes on a mobile network and after four hours on Wi-Fi. These are inactivity limits, not promised runtimes for someone actively watching.

Confirm the queue has another video
Start the video from the intended playlist and check the playlist panel or queue for another available item. If you want the playlist to repeat after its final video, use YouTube’s separate playlist Loop control. Loop is not required for ordinary progression to the next queued video.
Compare Jio with another connection
- On the affected device, play the same playlist in the YouTube app while connected to Jio mobile data.
- Connect that device to Wi-Fi and try the same playlist again. If the issue is with JioNet Wi-Fi, verify the phone really joined JioNet rather than silently using cellular data.
- If possible, reverse the comparison: test Wi-Fi and mobile data on the same device, app, playlist, and video.
YouTube recommends changing connections when troubleshooting playback. If the result differs between networks, investigate the connection path; the comparison alone does not establish that Jio is blocking or breaking Autoplay. If the video itself will not load reliably, resolve that playback problem before drawing conclusions about playlist progression.

If you are using Jio mobile data on Android
Check the basic mobile-data settings before changing the APN:
- Make sure mobile data is enabled and the intended Jio SIM is selected for internet access, especially on a dual-SIM phone.
- Check that a device data limit is not preventing mobile data use, and select LTE/4G as Jio’s FAQ advises.
- If mobile internet generally is not working, Jio says to reset the APN to default or set it to JioNet. Treat this as general connectivity troubleshooting, not a playlist-only fix.
Jio says Apple devices detect and configure the APN automatically. Its guidance does not call for manually changing an iPhone APN to fix YouTube Autoplay.

If the connection is JioNet Wi-Fi or JioFiber
JioNet Wi-Fi
Confirm the device is connected to the intended JioNet network. Jio notes that a phone may instead be using cellular data; reconnect to JioNet and retry the same playlist. If JioNet itself is failing, restarting the device’s Wi-Fi connection is a reasonable connection check, not a YouTube-specific repair.
JioFiber
If YouTube or several services cannot load over JioFiber, use Jio’s support and troubleshooting channel for the connection. A playlist that loads but fails to advance is not, by itself, evidence of a JioFiber outage.

Refresh YouTube, the device, or the browser
YouTube app on Android
- Update YouTube, then close and reopen the app.
- Restart the phone and retry the same playlist.
- If video loading is still unreliable, open Settings > Apps > YouTube > Storage > Clear cache, then test again.
These are general Android playback steps, not Jio-specific Autoplay fixes. Change one thing at a time so you can tell what altered the symptom.
Browser-only problem
- Sign in to YouTube and make sure the browser is up to date and supported.
- Clear the browser cache and cookies, then retry.
- If the problem began after installing or changing network software, check whether it changed DNS settings. Do not switch to an arbitrary DNS provider: YouTube’s guidance does not prescribe one for this symptom.
Use the pattern to decide what to do next

For each comparison, keep the device, video, playlist, and foreground/background state the same while changing one factor: device, network, app versus browser, or playback state. That helps narrow down where the failure occurs without mistaking correlation for a confirmed carrier cause.
