Use the environment and other people as sources of information. Listen before entering a guarded area, check your surroundings, and watch for a distracted guard if you need to obtain a keycard. The point is not to follow a single universal stealth trick; it is to discover whether the scene offers a less exposed route.

- Examine environmental details before moving into danger.
- Look for a shortcut or a way around security rather than assuming the obvious route is the only one.
- Take advantage of a guard’s distraction when the opportunity presents itself.
The available official guidance does not establish exact detection timings, button inputs, or mission-by-mission optimal routes, so treat stealth as observation and adaptation rather than a fixed sequence of moves.

What should you do when stealth breaks?
Reassess instead of assuming the mission requires an immediate reset. The game’s official descriptions present stealth, bluffing, and full action as possible approaches to encounters. If you are discovered, look for a chance to improvise; if the situation turns violent, Bond has both melee and ranged options.
Instinct supports several kinds of improvisation. IO Interactive lists using it to lure enemies, bluff when discovered, and sharpen Bond’s focus and power in combat. The source does not specify its exact cost, controls, or recharge conditions, so pay attention to the game’s own on-screen guidance as you play.

How does combat escalation work?
Combat combines close-quarters moves with ranged shooting. IO Interactive describes takedowns, throws, parries, using the environment, and precision ranged shooting. It also describes an escalation system: lethal enemy force grants Bond his License to Kill and access to firearms. That means a confrontation can move from stealth or melee into armed combat, rather than requiring you to treat firearms as the default opening move.
The official material does not establish exact damage values, ideal combos, or weapon balance. Use the combat options the situation calls for, and follow the game’s prompts rather than relying on unverified button combinations.

Which platforms and offline features should you know about?
According to the 007 First Light Player Support article updated September 15, 2026, the game is listed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC from May 27, 2026, with Nintendo Switch 2 listed for March 2027. The support article says one internet connection is needed to download the Day 1 patch; after that, the full main campaign can be played offline. It recommends online access for connected features such as challenges and leaderboards. Check the official player support page for current platform and connectivity details.
The same support article lists 80 GB of available storage and an SSD for PC. Its launch-day file-size listings are 50.8 GB on PS5, 58.7 GB on Xbox, and 53.2 GB on PC/Steam. These are figures from the 2026 support article; check it for current setup information before installing.
