The platform’s catalog is uneven, but it includes excellent tabletop RPGs, room-aware action games, puzzles, rhythm games, and approachable mixed-reality experiences.
This guide labels each recommendation as native spatial, mixed reality, tabletop spatial, flat-screen compatible, or streamed. That distinction matters: Apple Arcade advertises more than 200 games, but not every Apple Arcade title is built specifically for visionOS, and compatible iPad games may remain ordinary 2D apps. Catalogs, prices, regional availability, and compatibility can change; the details below reflect the US App Store research available in August 2026.

The 10 best games for Apple Vision Pro
These are category winners rather than a rigid best-to-worst ranking. The selections balance spatial payoff, underlying game quality, controls, session flexibility, comfort, multiplayer value, and access model.

1. Demeo — best tabletop RPG
Type: tabletop spatial. Best for: RPG fans, tabletop players, and groups.
Demeo places a miniature dungeon in front of you, complete with a battlefield, cards, dice, characters, and manipulable objects. It is one of the clearest examples of why a large spatial computer can make a tabletop game feel physical without requiring a real table covered in components.
The game supports solo play and multiplayer for up to four people, with cross-platform play on supported devices. Its US App Store listing showed a $39.99 purchase price at research time and explicitly identified controller support, though the live listing should be checked before buying.
Why it works on Vision Pro: The scale and hand interaction are central to the experience, not decoration. Watch for: This is a substantial, turn-based RPG rather than a five-minute novelty. It is a poor fit if you dislike tabletop mechanics or want constant action.
See Demeo on the US App Store.
2. Spatial Ops: Campaign Edition — best room-scale action
Type: mixed reality. Best for: players who want their surroundings to become a battlefield.
Spatial Ops is among the strongest demonstrations of room-aware action on Vision Pro. Instead of confining play to a conventional window, it uses the surrounding environment as part of the game space.
Clearance matters more here than with seated games. Move furniture, remove trip hazards, and follow the game’s setup instructions before beginning. Your room layout, lighting, available space, and preferred control method can materially affect the experience.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhy it works on Vision Pro: The room itself contributes to the game. Watch for: It is not a replacement for every console or PC shooter, and the physical demands may make it unsuitable for some players.
3. THRASHER: Remastered Edition — best high-intensity arcade game
Type: native spatial. Best for: arcade and rhythm-action players.

THRASHER is a visually distinctive, fast-moving spatial action game that shows how unusual Vision Pro controls can support an arcade format. Its appeal comes from rapid interaction and spectacle rather than a traditional flat-screen button layout.
Why it works on Vision Pro: Motion, depth, and spatial interaction are fundamental to the design. Watch for: Rapid movement and intense visual effects can be uncomfortable for some people. Start with a short session and stop if you feel discomfort.

4. Puzzling Places — best relaxed spatial puzzle
Type: tabletop spatial. Best for: quiet solo play.
Puzzling Places turns detailed 3D scans into miniature jigsaw scenes. You can work on dioramas such as cabins, fortresses, and other real-world environments, adjusting their size and position in your space.
The game does not need explosions or room-scale movement to demonstrate spatial computing. Its strength is the feeling of handling a small, detailed object that could not be represented as effectively by a conventional flat puzzle.
Why it works on Vision Pro: Depth, scale, and hand manipulation improve the basic puzzle loop. Watch for: It is primarily a calm solo experience, not an action game.
5. Porta Nubi: Immersive Puzzles — best purpose-built spatial puzzle
Type: native spatial. Best for: players who want puzzles designed around a 3D environment.
Porta Nubi builds puzzles around light beams, clouds, and manipulation in a three-dimensional space. It is a better choice than a conventional iPad puzzle if your goal is to understand what Vision Pro adds beyond a larger display.
Apple’s current editorial coverage notes support for PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers in the appropriate mode. Controller compatibility is game-specific, so confirm the live product page before purchasing or connecting hardware.
Why it works on Vision Pro: The puzzle logic is spatial rather than simply projected into a window. Watch for: Its slower, abstract format will not appeal to players seeking combat or competition.

6. Vacation Simulator — best approachable introduction
Type: mixed reality. Best for: newcomers and families.
Vacation Simulator offers a polished, humorous environment built around physical interaction. It is approachable because the activities are easy to understand: look, reach, pick things up, and experiment with the world around you.
Why it works on Vision Pro: It demonstrates room interaction and hand-based play without requiring players to learn a complicated control scheme first. Watch for: Check the current age rating, comfort options, and included modes on the live App Store listing, since software details can change.
7. Gears & Goo — best Apple Arcade strategy game
Type: mixed-reality tower defense. Best for: strategy players who already subscribe to Apple Arcade.
Gears & Goo places enemies and defenses into your environment. Apple describes gathering resources, building cannons, and defending against the Oozers. The result is a strategy game that uses the surrounding space more meaningfully than a standard mobile title.
It is included through Apple Arcade rather than sold as a separate one-time purchase. Apple Arcade games contain no advertising or in-app purchases, but the subscription catalog changes and not every Arcade title is native to visionOS.
Why it works on Vision Pro: Your environment becomes a strategic play area. Watch for: Verify that its current compatibility and preferred input match your setup.
8. Game Room — best casual multiplayer collection
Type: tabletop spatial. Best for: casual, social, and family play.
Game Room brings recognizable tabletop and classic games into a spatial setting. It is less about one long campaign than about having familiar activities available for short sessions, including multiplayer possibilities through SharePlay where supported.

- 2+ HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE — Charge less, play longer and stay in the action with an improved battery that keeps up. *Based on the graphic performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 platform vs the Meta Quest 2 platform.
The catalog of included games can change, so treat it as an Apple Arcade collection rather than a single fixed conventional game.
Why it works on Vision Pro: Familiar tabletop formats make spatial interaction easy to understand. Watch for: Check the current included games and multiplayer requirements before inviting others.
9. Synth Riders — best active rhythm game
Type: spatial rhythm. Best for: music-game fans and active sessions.
Synth Riders asks you to reach for colored orbs in time with music. It is a natural demonstration of hand movement, spatial audio, and the difference between playing a game in front of you and playing it around you.

Repeated reaching can cause fatigue, and standing or moving for extended periods may not suit everyone. Begin with a short session and adjust the experience to your comfort.
Why it works on Vision Pro: Your hands become the primary interface. Watch for: Room clearance and fatigue matter more than they do for seated puzzle games.
10. Super Fruit Ninja — best quick demonstration
Type: mixed reality. Best for: short sessions and first-time demonstrations.
Super Fruit Ninja uses your hands as blades to slice virtual fruit. The premise is immediately understandable, which makes it a useful game to show someone who has never tried Vision Pro.

Useful searches and collections
Try searches such as spatial, mixed reality, hand tracking, tabletop, controller, SharePlay, puzzle, and fitness. Apple’s collections include Great Games Built for Apple Vision Pro, The Best Games for Apple Vision Pro, and Game Your Way on Apple Vision Pro.
How to tell whether a game is truly spatial
- Does the listing mention spatial, immersive, mixed reality, or hand tracking?
- Do the screenshots show the game integrated with your room?
- Does it describe eye, hand, voice, or tracked-controller input?
- Does it require room setup or a safe play area?
- Is it included in Apple’s collections for games built specifically for Vision Pro?
- Does the listing merely say it runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro?
Use the labels native spatial, mixed reality, tabletop spatial, flat-screen compatible, and streamed when comparing games. “Available on Vision Pro” does not automatically mean “built for Vision Pro.”
Native spatial games versus compatible and streamed games
| Category | What you get | Typical strengths | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Native spatial | A game designed around visionOS input or presentation | Hands, eyes, depth, scale, and spatial audio | Smaller catalog |
| Mixed reality | Virtual gameplay integrated with your physical surroundings | Room-aware action and strategy | Needs safe space and can be physically demanding |
| Compatible iPad/iPhone | A conventional game in a floating 2D window | Large display and broad selection | Usually no meaningful room interaction |
| Streamed | Mac, PC, or console gameplay delivered to Vision Pro | Access to much larger established libraries | Needs host hardware or service, strong networking, and low latency |
Apps such as Steam Link and Portal: Remote Play Console can expand the library, but installing a remote-play app does not include the games themselves. You may still need the original games, a host computer or console, accounts, compatible controllers, and a reliable network.
Controllers, room setup, and comfort
Vision Pro’s hands and eyes are distinctive inputs, but they are not ideal for every genre. A conventional Bluetooth gamepad is often preferable for platformers, racing games, traditional action games, and streamed titles. Tracked controllers can matter for games designed around six degrees of freedom; Apple’s editorial coverage identifies PlayStation VR2 Sense controller support for select titles, not the entire catalog.
- Hands: Convenient and spatial, but potentially less precise for fast or complex controls.
- Gamepad: Better for buttons, sticks, long sessions, and conventional games.
- Tracked controllers: Relevant only to compatible games; confirm support on the product page.
- Lighting: Hand visibility and tracking can be affected by the room.
- Space: Remove obstacles before standing, reaching, turning, or swinging.
- Comfort: Start with short sessions, especially in games with rapid movement or repeated arm motions, and stop if you feel discomfort.
Apple describes hand tracking and game-controller support on its Vision Pro product page. Input, comfort, and multiplayer features remain game-specific.

Is Apple Arcade worth it for Vision Pro gaming?
Apple Arcade is the easiest way to sample several games without buying each one individually. Apple’s US editorial page describes a catalog of more than 200 games, with no ads or in-app purchases and Family Sharing for up to six people. The catalog and regional availability can change.
It is a good fit if you want breadth, share the subscription with family, or expect to try several games. It is a weaker fit if you want only one premium title, dislike subscriptions, or already own most of the relevant games elsewhere. A single purchase such as Demeo may make more sense for a player who wants one substantial game rather than a rotating catalog.
Check the live US App Store or Apple Arcade page for current pricing before subscribing. Do not assume that every Arcade game is a native spatial experience.
More games worth trying
- Beat Punch: Fitness-oriented rhythm boxing.
- Proton Pulse Vision: Arcade-style spatial action.
- Overbeat: Rhythm-shooter gameplay.
- Bombaroom: Physics-based mixed-reality artillery.
- Retrocade: Apple Arcade collection built around virtual coin-op classics such as Pac-Man, Galaga, and Bubble Bobble.
- WHAT THE GOLF? A comedic puzzle game with spatial appeal.
- LEGO Builder’s Journey: A tactile puzzle experience.
- Bloons TD 6+: Conventional strategy that benefits from a large display.
- Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss: A spatial Apple Arcade offering.
- Job Simulator: Approachable physical comedy.
- Blackbox for Vision: Sensory and spatial puzzles.
- Inua: A Story in Ice and Time: Narrative puzzle-adventure play.
- Loóna: Quiet, diorama-oriented puzzles.
- Virtual Pool IRL: A more traditional sports simulation.
Vision Pro is not a direct substitute for a Quest or PlayStation VR2. Its strongest games are spatial experiments, tabletop experiences, and room-aware interactions, while conventional and streamed games provide breadth. Choose based on the experience you want—not simply on whether a game appears in the Vision Pro storefront.
