The clearest number is MOB Entertainment’s description of Chapter 2 as “three times the size of Chapter 1”—a comparison, not a measurement in square feet or meters.
What can we say about the factory’s size?
The official descriptions establish an expanding sense of scale, but they do not give the factory’s dimensions, a complete map, or measured distances between areas. The clues below therefore separate what the developer states from what the setting suggests. Chapter 1 introduces an abandoned toy-manufacturing facility; later chapters add a larger chapter environment, deeper routes, and further named areas.
Ten details that suggest the factory is vast
1. Chapter 1 begins in an abandoned manufacturing facility
The first chapter establishes Playtime Co. as a former toy-manufacturing leader and places the player inside its abandoned facility. That gives the story an industrial setting with room for more than a shop floor, but Chapter 1’s description does not state the building’s dimensions. MOB Entertainment’s Chapter 1 page is evidence of the premise, not a floor plan.
2. Chapter 2 is explicitly “three times the size” of Chapter 1
This is the strongest direct scale claim in official chapter material. MOB Entertainment’s Chapter 2 page describes it as “three times the size of Chapter 1.” The page does not specify whether “size” means playable area, level content, or another measure, so it should not be converted into a claim about acreage, square footage, or a precise increase in the factory’s total area.

3. The route descends farther into the factory
The same Chapter 2 description says players must descend deeper into the toy factory. That gives the journey a vertical dimension: the explored route moves below the spaces introduced earlier. It does not say how far down the player travels or establish the depth of the fictional building.
4. The Game Station combines several functions
Chapter 2’s Game Station is described as including a train station, games, and a playground. Those uses point to a multi-purpose destination rather than a single-purpose room, and suggest a substantial visitor-facing complex. The listed functions are official; the conclusion about breadth is an inference, not a stated floor area.

5. A train connects the Game Station to an exit route
The Chapter 2 page calls the train a “straight shot out” of the factory. This makes internal transport part of the setting and links the Game Station to a route toward the outside. The description does not give the track’s length or show how much of the factory it crosses.
6. Chapter 3 introduces Playcare as another setting
MOB Entertainment’s Chapter 3 overview presents Playcare as the chapter’s setting and connects it with the Smiling Critters. A named setting with a different institutional identity broadens the kinds of spaces associated with Playtime Co. It does not establish how many buildings the complex contains or how much land it covers.

7. Chapter 4 reaches the “deepest, darkest” area yet
The official Chapter 4 summary describes its setting as the deepest, darkest part of the factory yet. “Deepest” signals that the story continues into more remote or lower regions, while “darkest” conveys atmosphere. Neither word supplies a measured depth.
8. Chapter 5 adds territory associated with the Prototype
The Chapter 5 page describes a new section, inhabitants in darkness, and environmental obstacles. This adds another layer to the facility’s fictional geography and reinforces the impression of distinct areas with different conditions. It does not provide a map or confirm the section’s size relative to earlier chapters. See MOB Entertainment’s Chapter 5 page.

9. Puzzles and obstacles make navigation part of the scale
Chapter 2’s description mentions puzzles, while Chapter 5’s description names environmental obstacles and new GrabPack functions. These details speak to navigation complexity: the player must work through changing spaces and challenges, not simply move through one uninterrupted corridor. They help convey the experience of a sprawling facility, but challenge count is not a measure of physical size.
10. The developer describes a place with more still hidden
In an Escape From Playtime announcement published August 25, 2026, Mob Entertainment Game Director Brandon James said: “We’ve always loved the idea that Playtime Co. is this huge, awful place with more hiding inside of it than anyone has seen,” The statement describes the intended feel of the setting, not a measured fact. The announcement also names classrooms, warehouses, testing labs, and connecting corridors in the announced game; those examples demonstrate the franchise’s range of facility spaces, but should not be treated as areas explored in Chapters 1–5.

Which clues are measurements—and which are interpretation?
| Clue | What it supports | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Chapter 2 is described as three times the size of Chapter 1 | A direct relative-size comparison in MOB Entertainment’s official chapter description. | A unit, a square-area calculation, or the factory’s total area. |
| Deeper routes and later “deepest” areas | Vertical and narrative progression into further parts of the facility. | Measured depth or elevation. |
| The Game Station, Playcare, and the Prototype’s territory | Multiple named settings and functions associated with the factory. | A complete building count, site boundary, or map. |
| Puzzles, transport, and environmental obstacles | Navigation and gameplay complexity across varied spaces. | Track length or physical dimensions. |
| The developer’s description of unseen spaces | The intended impression of a large setting with more hidden within it. | A blueprint or confirmation that every announced space appears in Chapters 1–5. |
So, how big is the Playtime Co. factory?
The official material reviewed does not publish a complete factory map, total dimensions, or measured chapter areas. The most precise defensible answer is that MOB Entertainment calls Chapter 2 three times the size of Chapter 1, while chapter descriptions and later settings portray a facility that extends deeper and contains varied spaces. The scale is clear as a storytelling impression; its real-world measurements are not established.
