Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 featured new game reveals alongside trailers and updates for already announced titles. The ten games below are a curated selection of announcements described as new reveals, world premieres or new games—not an official Gamescom top ten. Gamescom’s own highlights also included updates for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Gears of War: E-Day and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past.
Ten new games from Gamescom ONL 2026
The show took place on Tuesday evening, hosted by Geoff Keighley. Gamescom reported that 5,000 fans watched at the venue and millions more joined by livestream; it did not give an exact livestream audience figure. The table focuses on new games and premieres rather than every notable trailer or update shown during the event.

How to read the announcement list
Premieres and new games versus updates
Opening Night Live mixed new announcements with new looks at games audiences already knew about. This shortlist prioritizes titles described in the coverage as new reveals, world premieres or new games. It is a selection, not a claim that these were the only ten announcements or the ten biggest games of the show.
Release dates are show-time information
The dates and windows above are those reported in coverage of the August 2026 event. Several games had no date listed in the cited recaps. An unlisted date here means the coverage did not provide one; it does not establish that a game remains undated today.

Other Gamescom highlights
Gamescom’s official recap singled out a new look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation, an antagonist reveal for Gears of War: E-Day, and the reveal of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past. These were among the event’s named highlights, but they do not all fit the shortlist’s emphasis on new games.
