Check Windows 11 compatibility title by title
Windows 11 alone does not establish compatibility. Steam Support advises users to check each game’s Store page for operating-system support and hardware requirements: Steam Support: system requirements and compatibility. An older minimum operating-system entry is not the same as explicit Windows 11 support, and meeting minimum specifications does not promise a particular performance level.
What Stardew Valley’s listed minimums tell you
Steam’s Stardew Valley listing, released February 26, 2016 and accessed October 4, 2026, specifies Windows Vista or greater, a 2 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, 256 MB video memory with Shader Model 3.0+, DirectX 10, and 500 MB available storage: Stardew Valley on Steam. These are the listing’s published minimum requirements, not a separate Windows 11 certification. Compare them with your PC and check the listing again for the version you intend to install.

Prepare games before a flight, outage, or trip
Use this checklist for every game you intend to play without internet. It is prudent preparation, not a guarantee that every storefront or game will behave the same way.
- Check the current product page. Confirm the PC edition, operating-system support, hardware requirements, and any stated account, launcher, or online requirements.
- Install and update while connected. Finish downloading the game and any updates before you leave; do not assume you can install or repair it offline.
- Sign in and complete any activation. If the game or storefront requires first-run authentication, do it while online. The cited roundup specifically reports an internet activation requirement for the Steam version of Civilization VI.
- Launch the game while connected. Complete first-run setup and confirm that the game reaches its playable solo mode.
- Test the intended offline setup. Disconnect from the internet or use your platform’s offline setting, then close and relaunch the game. Try this before departure, not after you have lost connectivity.
- Check what remains online-only. Multiplayer, cloud saves, updates, and other connected features may not be available even when the solo game works.
