This is an editorial selection, not a verified ranking of the game’s rarest cars by ownership, Auction House supply, or value. Check each car’s current availability in your game before pursuing it.
What “rare” means in this list
Forza’s car list assigns acquisition categories by vehicle, while its Car Collection article says cars receive rarity levels and collecting a certain number from a manufacturer unlocks a reward. Neither source defines those labels as a measure of how many players own a car or how scarce it is on the Auction House. This guide uses “rare” to mean a selected car with a more specific route than a standard Autoshow purchase. Forza’s official car list is the place to check a model’s listed acquisition method; live seasonal availability can change.
10 rare-car targets and their listed routes
The official list identifies the following cars with the routes shown. It does not establish that every route is currently available, or specify a universal prerequisite for each one, so confirm the in-game listing before planning a specific unlock.
| Car | Listed acquisition route | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale | Backstage; Seasonal | Check whether it is currently available through Backstage or a live seasonal reward. |
| 2019 Ferrari F8 Tributo | Backstage; Seasonal | Check the current Backstage and Festival Playlist listings. |
| 1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR | Car Mastery; Seasonal | Check its in-game Car Mastery route and current seasonal reward status. |
| 2021 McLaren 765LT | Backstage; Seasonal | Check whether the car is available through Backstage or a live seasonal reward. |
| 2023 McLaren Artura | Backstage; Seasonal | Check the current Backstage and Festival Playlist listings. |
| 2016 NIO EP9 | Backstage; Seasonal | Check whether it is currently available through either listed route. |
| 2024 Nissan Z NISMO | Backstage; Seasonal | Check the current Backstage and Festival Playlist listings. |

How to pursue the listed routes
Backstage
When a car is listed for Backstage, check the in-game Backstage area for its current availability and the requirements shown there. The official car list identifies Backstage as an acquisition category, but does not describe the current offer or any changing in-game requirements.

Seasonal rewards
For cars marked Seasonal, look at the live Festival Playlist and its event rewards. A past seasonal listing does not mean the car is a reward in the current week or season. Forza’s starting guide explains that Festival Playlist challenges can earn Forzathon Points, which can be used to unlock hard-to-find rewards; it does not identify any of the cars above as a current points reward.
Car Mastery
The 1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR is the only car in this selection whose listed routes include Car Mastery. Check the car’s in-game mastery tree for the relevant unlock and any prerequisite shown there. The official list gives the category but does not state the exact mastery requirement.

Rarity labels are not a scarcity ranking
Forza’s article about the confirmed car list and Car Collection says each automobile has a rarity level and collecting a specified number of cars per manufacturer unlocks a reward. That is a collection feature, not evidence that a particular car has fewer owners, lower Auction House supply, or a higher market value. The official sources do not publish an ownership or auction-frequency ranking that could establish the objectively rarest ten.
