How these hidden gems are ranked
This ranking weighs the gap between a player’s starting overall and reported potential, while also considering position and the squad level each profile may suit. A large potential gap is not enough on its own: a signing should have a role in your team and enough development runway to justify using a place in the squad.
The overall and potential figures are Dot Esports’ FC 25 snapshot, published on 14 September 2024. They are game ratings, not real-world performance statistics or a promise that every save will show the same numbers. EA says squad updates provide the latest transfers and player ratings, so check your own game database and save before committing budget. The 11 best FC 25 Career Mode hidden gems
1. Mustafa Hekimoglu — ST, Besiktas
62 overall / 86 potential — Dot Esports, 2024. Hekimoglu pairs a substantial reported development gap with a forward role, making him the strongest fit on this list for a club that can give a young striker minutes without relying on him as its only source of goals. 2. Chris Rigg — CM, Sunderland
61 overall / 84 potential — Dot Esports, 2024. Rigg is a central-midfield development project for a team with room to rotate or build around a prospect. His reported potential makes him attractive to stronger sides, but his starting overall means he may need time before he can anchor a demanding midfield.

3. Felipe Rodriguez-Gentile — ST, Preston North End
57 overall / 81 potential — Dot Esports, 2024. Rodriguez-Gentile is a forward to consider if you are building a mid-table squad and can plan his minutes rather than expect immediate top-flight output. His lower starting rating creates a longer path to the reported ceiling than the first two entries.
4. Traven Sanusi — RM, Newcastle United
57 overall / 81 potential — Dot Esports, 2024. Sanusi offers a wide attacking role for a mid-table project that needs a prospect to grow into the rotation. Consider whether your tactics use a right midfielder; the rating gap matters less if the player’s role does not fit your formation.

5. Harry Amass — LB, Manchester United
60 overall / 77 potential — Dot Esports, 2024. Amass is a defensive option with a more modest reported ceiling than the forwards and midfielders above. A left-back prospect can be useful where that position lacks depth, but assess whether your squad can give him enough appearances to develop.
6. Alexander Turkin — ST, Rubin Kazan
48 overall / 72 potential — Dot Esports, 2024. Turkin is the deepest development project among these six specifically highlighted profiles. Dot Esports points lower-league progression saves toward him: his low starting overall can make sense when the team is rebuilding and can grow alongside him, but is a poor fit for a club that needs a ready-made striker.

7. Find a positional fit before chasing a rating
The six profiles above are the players for whom the source provides ratings and club-level context in the supplied figures. Do not fill out a transfer shortlist by selecting names solely for a high potential number. Use the rest of your scouting process to identify a position your squad needs, then compare available players in your save by starting overall, potential and role.

- Confirm your squad data. Download or select the squad update you intend to use, then inspect the player’s ratings in your FC 25 save. EA notes that squad updates deliver current transfers and player ratings; a 2024 list may not match a later database or an existing save.
- Match the player to your system. Check position and intended role against your formation and depth chart. A prospect who cannot get useful minutes is not a practical signing, even if the reported potential is appealing.
- Compare development runway. Look at the gap between the player’s current overall and potential, then decide whether your club can support the time it may take to close it. The listed potential is a reported game value, not a guaranteed outcome.
- Set your budget from the in-game offer process. No reliable transfer fees are established for these recommendations here, so use the price and contract terms shown in your own save rather than assuming a low overall means a bargain.
Why the ratings may differ in your game
The recommendations are tied to FC 25 and to editorial lists published in 2024. Ratings can depend on the squad data associated with a save, while player development is shaped by how a career progresses. EA’s live player-ratings page currently identifies itself as FC 27, so it is not evidence for FC 25 values: EA SPORTS FC Player Ratings.
