For the legacy 123Bee point-and-click game, the escape sequence is: collect the phone, disable the fan, take the metal piece, open the ceiling hatch for the battery and red wire, repair the phone with tape, use the 911 calls to obtain 5656 and the controller inputs, then reconnect the wire in the floor junction box before the final stop/open command.
Use this guide only if your game has the phone beside the elevator panel, a fan grille, a ceiling hatch, a floor junction box and a 911 phone puzzle. Several unrelated games share the name Elevator Escape. This identification and the sequence below are corroborated by archival walkthroughs from EscapeGames24 and Cheatbook.

Identify the 123Bee game before following the steps
The title alone is not enough. This walkthrough concerns the older 123Bee escape game in which you are trapped inside an elevator and must assemble a working phone, call 911, read codes from the responses, and repair an electrical connection. If your version has different floors, a different interface, or no phone-and-wire puzzle, it is another game using the same generic title.

The archived guides do not establish whether the original game is still playable, which modern browsers support it, or whether it is currently sold in an app store. Treat the instructions as a solution for the identified legacy game, not as a guarantee of present-day availability.

Complete Elevator Escape walkthrough
1. Pick up the phone and obtain the metal piece
- Click the phone beside the elevator control panel to add it to your inventory.
- Find the switch above the phone and turn the fan off. The fan must be stopped before you can work on its grille.
- Open the fan grille and collect the metal piece inside. Keep it; it is needed for both the ceiling hatch and the floor junction box.
If the grille does not respond, check that you clicked the switch first. The fan switch and grille are separate interactions, and the metal piece is the first tool required by the rest of the puzzle.
2. Open the ceiling hatch and save the red wire
- Use the metal piece on the screws of the ceiling hatch.
- Open the hatch to change to the view above the elevator.
- Collect the battery from the corner.
- Use the metal piece to cut the red wire in that area. Take the wire with you rather than leaving it in the overhead view.
The red wire is not merely a clue. It is a repair item used near the end, so do not discard it after cutting it. The battery is reserved for the phone.
3. Find the tape and rebuild the phone
- Return to the elevator interior.
- Look near the box on the floor and collect the tape.
- Select the phone and turn it over to expose its back.
- Open the phone’s battery cover.
- Insert the battery taken from the ceiling area.
- Use the tape to hold the battery cover in place, then close the phone view.
The phone is now the game’s information source. The guides describe the tape as the way to secure the cover after the battery is installed; simply possessing the battery is not enough.

4. Use the floor junction box to reveal the first 911 clue
- Open the junction box on the elevator floor.
- Use the metal piece to cut the green wire inside.
- Inspect the newly exposed light or indicator. It reveals the clue that directs you to call 911.
This is the point at which the two wire colors have different jobs: the green wire is cut in the box to expose the clue, while the red wire collected above the elevator is saved for the later repair.
5. Call 911 and enter 5656
- Use the repaired phone to call 911.
- Read the response carefully. It reveals the controller code 5656.
- Open the elevator controller and enter 5656.
Enter the four digits exactly as reported. The code is the stable part of the solution confirmed by both archival walkthroughs, not a general code for every game called Elevator Escape.
6. Follow the next stop/open instruction and identify the electrical fault
- Call 911 a second time after entering 5656.
- Return to the controller and enter or press the stop/open controls displayed by that call. The archived descriptions phrase the controls slightly differently, so follow the symbols or labels your version presents rather than guessing from a generic button layout.
- Call 911 once more.
- Read the new response. It indicates that an electrical problem remains.
At this stage, pressing the controller controls repeatedly will not solve the fault. The next action is in the junction box, and the red wire from the ceiling is the required repair item.

7. Reconnect the wire in the junction box
- Return to the floor junction box.
- Inspect the disconnected wire revealed by the electrical-problem response.
- Use the red wire collected above the elevator to reconnect it.
Make sure you are repairing the disconnected connection in the box, not trying to reuse the green wire you cut earlier. If the repair action is unavailable, verify that the red wire was collected from the ceiling view and that you have already completed the second and third 911 calls.
8. Make the final call and open the elevator
- Call 911 again with the repaired phone.
- Return to the elevator controller.
- Press the stop/open controls shown by the final call.
The repaired circuit allows the final controller command to work, opening the elevator and completing the escape.
Item, location and purpose reference
| Item or clue | Where it appears | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Phone | Beside the elevator panel | After repair, it makes the 911 calls that reveal the code, controls and fault. |
| Metal piece | Behind the fan grille after the fan is switched off | Opens the ceiling hatch, cuts the red wire above the elevator and cuts the green wire in the floor box. |
| Battery | Corner of the area above the ceiling hatch | Inserted into the phone. |
| Red wire | Cut from the overhead area with the metal piece | Reconnects the damaged wire in the floor junction box. |
| Tape | Near the box on the elevator floor | Secures the phone’s battery cover. |
| Green wire | Inside the floor junction box | Cut to expose the light and the first 911 clue. |
| 5656 | Reported by the first working 911 call | Entered on the elevator controller. |
| Stop/open controls | Reported by later 911 calls | Used first after the code and again after the red-wire repair. |
How the puzzle sequence fits together
The game is built as a dependency chain rather than a set of interchangeable solutions. The fan must be off before its grille yields the metal piece; the metal piece opens the hatch and exposes the battery and red wire; the battery and tape make the phone functional; the floor-box action produces the 911 clue; and the phone calls supply information for the controller. The electrical warning then sends you back to the junction box, where the previously saved red wire becomes useful.

That order explains two common dead ends. Trying to operate the controller before repairing the phone produces no useful information, and trying to finish after entering 5656 fails because the electrical connection is still open. The red wire is deliberately collected early for a late-game repair.
Troubleshooting when an interaction does not work
The phone cannot make a call
- Confirm that the battery was inserted while viewing the back of the phone.
- Confirm that the battery cover was secured with tape.
- Close the phone close-up before trying to use it in the elevator scene.
The ceiling hatch will not open
- Turn the fan off using the switch above the phone.
- Collect the metal piece from the fan grille.
- Apply the metal piece to the hatch screws, not to the hatch surface alone.
The 5656 code does not solve the game
- Check that your game has the 123Bee phone-and-911 mechanic.
- Enter all four digits on the elevator controller.
- Continue with the later 911 calls; 5656 is an intermediate controller code, not the final escape action.
The final controls do nothing
- Complete the call that reports the electrical problem.
- Reconnect the disconnected junction-box wire with the red wire from the ceiling.
- Make the final 911 call and copy the stop/open controls it displays.
Archived walkthroughs agree on the phone, battery, tape, 911/5656 sequence, wire repair and final controller input, but differ in some wording and interaction details. If a hotspot appears in a slightly different order or uses different labels, follow the same dependency: repair the phone, obtain the 5656 code, resolve the electrical fault, then apply the final stop/open command.
What this guide does and does not establish
The available documentation is historical third-party walkthrough material, not a current official page from the developer. It confirms the solution for the 123Bee version but does not confirm a live URL, current browser compatibility, mobile support, or an active store listing. Browser emulation, archived-game sites and modern security settings can change whether an old point-and-click title loads, so availability must be checked separately on the platform where you find it.
For the original walkthrough wording and corroboration, see EscapeGames24’s archived Elevator Escape walkthrough and Cheatbook’s Elevator Escape hints and tips. These pages are useful for confirming that this guide refers to the phone, 911, 5656 and wire-repair game rather than another title with the same name.
