This editorial shortlist ranks 15 weapons by the usefulness and reliability of their listed effects, while accounting for build fit and resource costs—not by a universal or tested in-game tier list. Effects below are reported in the Gamer Guides weapon database, not independently measured.
Rogues use broadswords and sabers in the main hand, rapiers and longswords in the off hand, and longbows or shortbows. These swords are not daggers; daggers are a separate weapon category. Game8’s equipment reference provides broad category context.
How to choose the best Rogue weapons
Think of this as a build-aware shortlist, not a claim that one weapon outperforms every alternative in every fight. A bow that attacks Armor rather than Barrier solves a different problem from a rapier that supplies Necrotic Weapons or a sword that rewards ripostes.
- Match the target: Armor, Barrier, weak points, and stagger call for different damage interactions.
- Check the condition: Some effects are always active; others require weak-point hits, Shocked enemies, a riposte, or a particular weapon state.
- Account for the cost: Arrow consumption, Momentum, and conditional bonuses can change how dependable an effect feels in a given setup.
- Pair for a purpose: Main-hand and off-hand effects may complement the same style, but the available sources do not establish one definitive best pairing.
The order below is an editorial recommendation based on those criteria and the listed effects. It is not an official ranking or a controlled balance comparison.

15 Rogue weapons worth considering
1. Trueflight Bow — for attacking Armor
This longbow is a strong pick when armored enemies are the priority. Its database entry lists 25% more damage versus Armor, redirects ranged attacks toward Armor instead of Barrier, and says it ignores enemy Defense while applying Penetration as bonus damage. Those specific interactions make it a focused answer to Armor, not a universal bow upgrade.
2. Reinforced Longbow — for repeated weak-point hits
The Reinforced Longbow rewards precision: its listed effect increases weak-point damage with successive weak-point hits during combat. It suits a Rogue who can keep landing those shots; its appeal is less certain if your attacks frequently miss weak points or you prefer close-range combat.

3. Dauntless Greatbow — for Shock-focused ranged play
This electricity-oriented option adds Electricity damage and can chain lightning when a weak-point hit lands on an enemy with at least three Shocked stacks. That payoff depends on both building Shock and hitting the weak point, so it is a better fit for a setup that can reliably satisfy those conditions.
4. Dragon’s War Bow — for turning Shock into Burning
Weak-point hits against Shocked enemies apply Burning. The database says Burning reduces Fire and Electric resistance by 10% per stack, giving this bow a status-effect interaction that may support follow-up damage. Its value depends on applying Shock first and exploiting the resulting Burning stacks.

5. Arainai’s Talon — for a Necrotic melee setup
This rapier permanently grants Necrotic Weapons on entering combat, making it a direct choice for a build organized around Necrotic damage. Its strength is the consistency of the listed combat-start effect; pair it with other effects that benefit from Necrosis or Necrotic Weapons if you want to reinforce that focus.
6. Duelist’s Blade — for ripostes and Necrosis
The Duelist’s Blade deals Necrotic damage, applies Necrosis on Riposte, and adds Necrotic damage for each Necrosis stack. It offers a coherent loop for a player who can land ripostes and keep Necrosis active, but those conditions matter: it is not simply an unconditional damage boost.

7. Enchanted Longblade — for final attacks and Necrotic Weapons
This longsword supports final-attack and Necrotic Weapons interactions. Its listed effect includes life leech against enemies afflicted with Necrosis while Necrotic Weapons is active. That combination makes it a situationally useful option for sustaining a necrotic-oriented melee approach rather than a generic best-in-slot claim.
8. Audacity — for close-range sword attacks, with an arrow cost
Audacity increases the damage of close-range sword attacks by consuming an arrow. That trade-off can suit a Rogue who wants to convert ranged ammunition into melee damage, but it is not an unconditional upgrade: consider whether spending arrows fits the rest of your combat loop.

9. Other bow choices — prioritize the effect your build can trigger
For the remaining places, the useful decision is not to assume every bow is interchangeable. Compare the listed weapon effects against your actual approach: a weak-point bonus is most relevant if you aim consistently, while an elemental interaction matters when your build can apply the required status. The available item-effect examples do not establish enough detail to responsibly name and rank seven additional specific weapons here.

Unique items are described as rare or one-of-a-kind gear, and acquisition guidance warns that a unique item may be limited to one location in a playthrough and can be missed. Gameranx’s unique weapon and shield locations guide makes that general caution; it does not verify the acquisition location or quest state for every Rogue weapon listed above. Confirm an item-specific location and quest conditions before relying on a precise pickup route.
