Insider Gaming reported on March 29, 2025, that 20 concept-art images for the then-upcoming Battlefield game had leaked online after being datamined. The report traced their circulation from a Telegram channel called 1|BF to the Battlefield subreddit, but EA had not officially confirmed the leak’s origin in the article. The images were concept art—not confirmed final gameplay or proof of the game’s finished visual direction.
What was reported about the leak
In its March 29, 2025 report, Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson said 20 new concept-art images for the next Battlefield game had appeared online after people datamined the game. According to the article, the images were posted to a Telegram channel named 1|BF and later reached the Battlefield subreddit.
Insider Gaming described Battlefield Labs playtests, which had begun earlier that month, as the apparent source of the datamining. That is the article’s account of the likely origin; it does not cite an official EA confirmation establishing how the images were obtained.
What the images do—and do not—tell us
The reported material was concept art. It can offer a glimpse of ideas explored during development, but it is not the same as final in-game assets, confirmed gameplay, or a definitive account of the game’s finished art direction. The article does not establish that every depicted idea would appear in the released game.

Why some viewers called the art “gritty”
Insider Gaming reported that commenters described the images as “gritty” and contrasted that impression with Battlefield 2042. This reflects reactions discussed in the article’s comments, not a measured consensus among players or an official statement of the developers’ creative intent.
What was reported about EA’s response
In March 2025, Insider Gaming also reported that images and videos from the next Battlefield game had circulated widely and that EA was trying to remove them through DMCA actions. The report does not establish the current status or outcome of those actions, or where the material can be found now.
