These dated entries from Game Informer’s calendar show how release timing and platform availability varied across the year. They are listed as scheduled dates, not as a claim that every release plan remained unchanged.

How to read a release calendar
Exact date or broad window
A calendar can combine games with a confirmed day and titles assigned only to a month, quarter, or year. A broad window is not the same as a firm launch date. GameSpot’s schedule describes a mix of officially dated games and games with a general 2024 window.

Schedules can change
Release calendars are snapshots, not guarantees: publishers may delay or cancel a game, and platform plans can change. Game Informer says it updates its schedule as dates are confirmed or shift; GameSpot likewise says its list would be adjusted for delays or cancellations. For a particular game, use a later publisher or platform announcement to verify a change rather than treating an older calendar entry as final.
Check platform scope
A platform-holder’s lineup is useful for confirming its own announced titles, but it is not a complete industry-wide schedule. For example, Xbox Wire’s January 31, 2024 lineup article covers Xbox’s own 2024 slate, not every game releasing that year.

Star Wars Outlaws: physical edition context
For players looking specifically for a physical console copy, Ubisoft’s release schedule lists Star Wars Outlaws as “DIGITAL + PHYSICAL” and names PS5 and Xbox Series X/S among its platforms. Its schedule places the game in Q2 of Ubisoft’s 2024–25 fiscal year, which it defines as July–September 2024; Game Informer lists August 30, 2024 as the release date. This establishes that a physical edition was part of the announced release format, but it does not establish current stock, price, or the availability of a particular retailer listing.
