Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Our five picks are Spyro the Dragon, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, a classic Diablo entry such as Diablo II, Warcraft III, and World of Warcraft. Each covers a different kind of play: a family platformer, an arcade skating game, an action RPG, a real-time strategy game, and a persistent online world. Together they show how much of the Activision Blizzard catalog could sit comfortably inside a subscription that already spans console and PC.
This is an opinionated wishlist, not a report that these games are missing from Game Pass. We have not confirmed that any of them is absent today, and Game Pass availability changes by region, plan, and platform, so check the live catalog before drawing conclusions from this list.
Why Game Pass is the right place to ask
Microsoft has framed Activision Blizzard as a source of Game Pass content rather than a separate storefront. In a February 15, 2024 Xbox Wire post, Jeff Rubenstein wrote: “There will be even more to play as we begin to fulfill our commitment to offer Activision and Blizzard games with Game Pass, both new releases and classic games from its legendary catalog.” That post also named Diablo IV as the first Activision Blizzard game on the service, starting March 28, 2024, and tied the expansion to an audience of 34 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers at that time. That subscriber figure is a February 2024 number, not a current total.
Since then, several Activision Blizzard titles have arrived. Microsoft’s October 15, 2024 acquisition update listed Diablo IV, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Overwatch 2, and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy as added in the preceding year, and it announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II for later dates in October and November 2024. Blizzard also made its Blizzard Arcade Collection available to subscribers, including The Lost Vikings, Rock ‘n Roll Racing, and Blackthorne. Those are dated announcements, so treat them as history rather than a snapshot of today’s catalog.

How we chose these five
There is no official ranking of the most-wanted Activision Blizzard games, so these picks are editorial choices. We used four criteria:
- Franchise recognition: the series should be known well enough that a subscriber would notice its absence.
- Play-style variety: each pick should serve a different kind of player, so the list does not collapse into one genre.
- Audience fit across console and PC: the game should suit the mix of couch play and PC play that Game Pass is built around.
- Plausible availability: we favored franchises whose catalog presence would make sense for a subscription, though we have not checked current status for any single title.
We also left out franchises that have already had their headline entries added, such as Diablo IV and Overwatch 2, and focused on older or adjacent games that would widen the catalog.

The five picks
1. Spyro the Dragon
Spyro is the cleanest fit for a family-friendly slot. The original trilogy’s open-ended platforming and collectible-driven levels work well for younger players and for adults who want something low-stress. Activision’s franchise page lists Spyro among its properties, which makes it a credible candidate on franchise grounds alone. The case for Spyro is simple: it gives subscribers who mostly play sports or shooters a gentler option in the same catalog.
2. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater
Tony Hawk fills the arcade-sports slot. Its short, score-chasing runs suit people who want a 20-minute session as much as a long evening, and its name recognition extends beyond gamers who grew up with the original PlayStation era. Tony Hawk is also one of the Activision franchises most likely to pull in players who do not usually touch Call of Duty or Diablo. Because the series has had several releases over time, the editorial question is which entry or bundle would be most useful, not whether the franchise matters.

3. A classic Diablo entry such as Diablo II
Diablo IV is already on Game Pass, so the case here is for an older action RPG that gives a different experience. Diablo II’s loot-driven, party-friendly dungeon crawling is a different rhythm from the current game, and it would reward players who want to see where the series began. We are naming the franchise entry as a suggestion rather than a specific edition; the exact version available on each platform should be checked in the catalog.
4. Warcraft III
Warcraft III is the strategy pick. StarCraft’s remastered and II entries were scheduled for Game Pass in November 2024, which means real-time strategy already has a place in the subscription. Warcraft III adds a different world and a different style, built around hero units and custom maps. Its inclusion would also give Blizzard’s strategy line a second anchor beyond StarCraft. Warcraft is a Blizzard franchise rather than one listed on Activision’s franchise page, so it is included here on Blizzard grounds.
Rank #4
- BREAKER SERIES — Hold nothing back. Ice Breaker keeps it forever fresh with a mix of iced and frosted blues. Part of the collective debut of the Breaker special edition series.
- BOLD STYLE, BUILT TO PERFORM — Define your swagger with a wild, head-turning design. Stay elegantly on target with textured triggers built for every moment.
- RUBBERIZED GRIPS — Hold on to the action with rubberized grips on the back cases, designed for comfort and control during long gaming sessions.
- UP TO 40 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE — Get up to 40 hours of battery life so you can keep playing without stopping to recharge.
- PLAY ACROSS EVERY SCREEN — Quickly pair with, play on, and switch between devices including console and PC. Stream games across mobile, gaming handhelds, Smart TVs, and supported VR headsets with XBOX Cloud Gaming.
5. World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft is the most complicated pick. It is a persistent online game with its own subscription model, so bringing it to Game Pass would involve more than adding a download. We include it because it is the largest single brand in the Blizzard catalog and would matter to a large group of players who want to return to an old character or try a long-running world. The trade-off is that a subscription MMO inside another subscription raises questions about pricing and play limits that would need to be worked out. We are not suggesting how Microsoft should handle that, only that the game is a strong candidate on franchise and audience grounds.

- Open the Xbox Game Pass catalog on Xbox’s website or search the title in the Game Pass section of the Microsoft Store on your Xbox or PC.
- Confirm the exact edition name. Franchises often have multiple releases, remasters, and bundles, and only some may be included.
- Check the platform. A title may appear on PC Game Pass but not on console, or the reverse.
- Check your plan. Eligibility can differ across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass for Console.
- Recheck later. Availability can change, and a game listed as absent today may be added, or a game listed as present may be removed.
Xbox’s franchise page is useful for finding the full set of Activision Blizzard series, but it does not show which games are currently in the service.
Quick Recap

What would make these picks more likely
- A clear Game Pass plan for classic Activision Blizzard titles, the commitment Microsoft described in February 2024.
- A bundle structure for multi-entry series such as Spyro and Tony Hawk, so subscribers can access the full set without paying for each release.
- A consistent platform policy, so that a game available on PC is also available on console where the rights allow.
