Verdict: Choose this if you want to feel genuinely hunted rather than simply startled.
Alien: Isolation delivers the strongest complete survival-horror experience in this group. Amanda Ripley explores the deteriorating Sevastopol station while an alien searches for her. You hide, listen, improvise and decide whether moving forward is worth attracting attention. The threat is not reliably overpowerable, so fear comes from uncertainty, sound and limited safety instead of a string of scripted jump scares.

Android trade-offs
This is an ambitious premium port of a full-scale console and PC game, not a lightweight phone novelty. 2. Little Nightmares — best atmosphere and visual unease
Verdict: Pick it for creepy art direction, stealth and environmental puzzles rather than nonstop jump scares.
Little Nightmares casts you as a small, vulnerable figure moving through grotesque spaces populated by disturbing inhabitants. Hiding, climbing, timing and solving environmental puzzles create tension, while scale and sound make ordinary rooms feel threatening. Its dreamlike presentation is unsettling without turning the game into a conventional combat-heavy survival horror title.

Verdict: This is the choice for players who miss deliberate, psychological, third-person survival horror.

Forgotten Memories: Remastered combines exploration, puzzles, combat, voice acting and an oppressive story-driven atmosphere. Its Google Play description lists improved rendering, lighting, textures, audio, videos, checkpoints, enemy behaviour, localization, interface and combat, plus achievements and an Insane difficulty mode. It is a spiritual successor to classic psychological horror, not an official Silent Hill game.
Edition and price
The Remastered listing showed $6.99 in the US on August 18, 2026: Google Play Remastered edition. Do not confuse it with the separate older listing, which showed $4.99: original edition.

Mobile verdict
The developer lists touch and gamepad controls, but some Google Play users praise the atmosphere while criticizing combat difficulty and touch precision. Those are user reports rather than a verified defect on every device. The game is offline according to its listing and is a complete premium purchase without gameplay-affecting microtransactions. Telltale-era mobile distribution has changed over time. Verify the current official Google Play publisher, episode packaging, price and Android support in your country before buying. - Controls: Camera-heavy games expose weak virtual sticks quickly. A controller is most useful for Alien: Isolation, Little Nightmares and Forgotten Memories; support and button mapping still vary by device. Five Nights at Freddy’s needs less precision, while The Walking Dead is naturally touch-oriented.
- Audio: Use headphones when possible. Alien movement, animatronic cues and environmental sound all lose impact through a noisy speaker.
