1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsA good loot run in ARC Raiders is not the one that visits the most containers. It is the one that turns a useful find into a successful extraction. Plan around an exit, search selectively, protect the item you cannot afford to lose, and leave before a bigger haul becomes a bigger risk.
1. Plan around an exit, not just a loot spot
Map regions offer different resource types, and your spawn location is random. That makes a fixed route less useful than a plan you can adapt: identify what you want, then choose nearby stops and keep an extraction option in view. The Epic Games Store survival guide covers region resources and random spawns.
Before moving, check where you are relative to an exit and consider what you will do if the direct route becomes dangerous. A loot spot is only valuable if you can carry its contents out.
2. Every container costs time and makes noise
Searching most containers takes several seconds and makes noise, according to the Epic guide. That gives nearby machines or Raiders a chance to notice you while you are occupied. Containers also award XP for searching even when empty, but that does not make every search worthwhile when your priority is getting home with loot.

- ARC Raiders Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the following content: The Wanderer Set, including the following cosmetic items: “Valente” Outfit" “Pathfinder” Backpack,“Blanket Roll” Backpack Attachment.
- Plus: Character Cosmetic, Finger Gun Rapid Fire Emote, Cowboy Scrappy Body Type and Skin, 2 400 Raider Tokens.
Pause before opening one: is it likely to contain something you need, and can you afford the time and exposure? If the answer is no, keep moving. Search when the expected value is worth the risk, not simply because a container is there.
3. Loot toward a purpose—and leave room for it
You cannot carry everything. Set a goal for the run—such as materials, medical supplies, a quest item, or useful gear—and give inventory space to that goal. When a new find competes with something you already have, judge it by what you need and what you can actually use, rather than treating every item as an upgrade.
Rank #2
The Epic guide’s inventory advice supports prioritizing finds rather than trying to collect everything. A route with fewer, relevant stops can be more useful than a long sweep that fills your pack with lower-priority items.
4. Use the Safe Pocket for a critical small item
The Safe Pocket protects its contents if you are eliminated; other carried equipment is lost, according to the Epic guide and TheArcRaiders.com’s extraction guide. If the run depends on a small, important item, placing it there can protect that objective from a bad encounter.
Rank #3
There is no universal best item to keep in the pocket. Choose based on the purpose of the run and the item’s importance to you.
5. Treat extraction as part of the danger
Reaching an extraction point does not make the run safe. The Epic guide says regular extraction controls create a loud noise that can draw machine and human enemies; extraction points can also be patrolled. Approach alert to nearby threats, and know a backup exit in case the route or extraction area becomes contested.

Do not activate an exit on autopilot. Consider whether the area is quiet enough, whether you have time to respond to trouble, and whether another exit is the better choice. TheArcRaiders.com’s guide also recommends accounting for risk around extraction, but its advice is strategic rather than a measured guarantee of success.

A large haul matters only if you extract with it. TheArcRaiders.com recommends multiple successful, moderate extractions over one failed attempt to bring out a bigger load. Treat that as a risk-management principle, not a proven probability: the guide does not provide controlled data showing how much more often one approach succeeds.

Make the decision as the run develops. If you already have the items you came for, your pack is tight, or the route to another stop looks dangerous, leaving with what you have may be the better play.
How to adapt a route to the map
Think of a route as a balance between loot density and exposure, not a promise of guaranteed rewards. The Material Farming Guide recommends limiting the number of high-density stops, identifying the nearest extraction, and having a backup if it is contested. It characterizes Dam Battlegrounds as a lower-risk farming choice and Spaceport and Blue Gate as more hazardous; those are the guide’s judgments, not official loot tables or verified odds.
For Spaceport, the interactive map separates container, ARC enemy, and extraction markers. Use those categories together when planning: a route should account for what you hope to search, the threats between stops, and how you will leave. Marker counts on that map are page content, not guaranteed spawn rates.
Area risk and game mechanics can change with updates. Check the live map and current conditions rather than assuming a named route or extraction behaves the same way every run.
