7 Best Bangboos in Zenless Zone Zero (Ranked for Version 3.2)

The best Bangboo depends on your squad’s Additional Ability conditions and needs. Compare seven Version 3.2 picks, from broad Support options to roster-specific specialists.

For Version 3.2, Booressure, Avocaboo, and Knightboo are strong broad-use picks when your team can activate their Support-based Additional Abilities. Robin and Ariel can be stronger fits for their specific teams, while Snap and the matching-Attribute specialists cover more particular needs. There is no universal winner: choose the Bangboo whose ability activates and supplies the benefit your lineup needs.

How this ranking works

This is a practical, conditional ranking based on a Version 3.2 guide checked September 15, 2026—not a controlled head-to-head test. The order reflects broad applicability first, then specialist value. Bangboo roster details, skills, and acquisition can change with patches, so check the current in-game skill text before committing resources.

Before choosing, check two things: whether your squad meets the Bangboo’s Additional Ability condition, and whether its effect addresses a real need such as Energy, healing, ATK, damage, Daze, or Anomaly buildup. A pick whose ability does not activate may be less useful than a lower-rarity option that does. An August 2026 guide also emphasizes Attribute and faction fit over rarity alone (U7BUY’s August 2026 guide).

The 7 best Bangboos for different teams

1. Booressure — broad Energy utility

The Version 3.2 guide ranks Booressure among its top options. At least one Support Agent activates its Additional Ability, and the guide says its Ether bubbles generate extra Energy for off-field Agents. Choose it when your lineup can trigger that ability and values Energy support. The guide also reports that Booressure is obtained outside the gacha pool; confirm its current availability in-game.

2. Avocaboo — healing and sustain

Avocaboo is a strong choice when keeping the team healthy matters more than adding another damage-oriented effect. The guide says at least one Support Agent activates its Additional Ability, which improves healing and adds charges. Its value is therefore tied both to meeting the condition and to actually needing sustain.

3. Knightboo — accessible ATK support

Knightboo offers an ATK bonus when its Additional Ability is activated by a team with at least one Support Agent. The Version 3.2 guide places it among the top broad-use choices and reports that it is obtained outside the gacha pool. It is worth considering when your team can use the ATK support; verify its current skill text and availability before investing.

4. Robin — high-ceiling Mockingbird specialist

Robin’s ranking is conditional: its Additional Ability requires a Mockingbird Agent. The guide describes specialty-matched effects involving damage, Daze, or Anomaly buildup. If your roster does not meet the team condition, that specialist ceiling is not a reason by itself to select Robin.

5. Ariel — Remielle Dan specialist

Ariel is a narrow pick for a squad that includes Remielle Dan. The guide reports stronger Chain Attack damage alongside Active Skill buffs in that team context. Treat Ariel as a roster-specific option, not a general-purpose recommendation.

6. Snap — damage with a Stars of Lyra healing angle

The guide places Snap in its next tier. Its Superstar damage buff does not require its faction condition, while its healing-related effect becomes stronger with two or more Stars of Lyra. That makes Snap worth considering for its damage effect even without the faction setup, with the added healing benefit available to teams that meet it.

7. Matching-Attribute S-Rank specialist — fit the team’s element

For a team built around two or more Agents sharing an Attribute, choose the specialist that matches that Attribute. The Version 3.2 guide names Plugboo, Rocketboo, Sharkboo, Resonaboo, and Bangvolver as S-Rank options whose Chain Attack gains Anomaly buildup with at least two matching-Attribute Agents.

These are alternatives rather than a single universal pick: the right one depends on which Attribute your team actually uses.

Choose by team need, not rank alone

  1. Check the Additional Ability condition. Confirm that your current squad includes the required Support Agent, faction member, named Agent, or matching-Attribute Agents.
  2. Choose the benefit your team lacks. Consider Energy from Booressure, healing from Avocaboo, ATK support from Knightboo, or a specialist effect that fits your roster.
  3. Compare with an accessible alternative. The Version 3.2 guide says several elemental S-Rank specialists have lower-rarity counterparts with similar roles. It characterizes the upgrade as real but incremental and recommends against making it the first use of a limited Boopon budget. That is the guide author’s advice, not a universal investment rule; compare the current in-game skills and your own roster.

What to know about rankings and acquisition

The ranking and skill descriptions above come primarily from a secondary guide labeled Version 3.2 and updated September 15, 2026. They are guide-authored judgments and reported game details, not independently measured performance results. The older August 2026 guide is a Version 3.1 cross-check for team dependence and rarity considerations, not confirmation that every Version 3.2 detail remains current.

The Version 3.2 guide describes a Bangboo Channel with a selected S-Rank target, a guarantee tied to that target, and a pity counter separate from other channels. Those mechanics are patch-sensitive: read the current Signal Search Details in-game rather than relying on older values. HoYoverse’s official site describes a Bangboo as “an intelligent device unique to New Eridu” (Zenless Zone Zero official site).
