7 Days to Die did not reach its official stable 1.0 release in June. The Fun Pimps released 1.0 Experimental publicly on June 24, 2024, then launched the stable version on July 25 for PC and consoles. The game had spent nearly twelve years in Early Access, according to the developer.
Why June appeared in the original announcement
In April 2024, The Fun Pimps said 7 Days to Die would leave Early Access in June. A May announcement likewise said the Steam 1.0 launch was planned for June, with console versions to follow in July. Those were advance plans, not the final stable-release schedule. The April announcement and the May announcement explain the date in the early headline.
What happened, and when
| Date | Milestone |
|---|---|
| June 24, 2024 | Public release of 1.0 Experimental. The Fun Pimps’ schedule distinguished this build from the later stable release. |
| July 25, 2024 | Official stable 1.0 release for PC, alongside the announced console launch. The developer’s July 24 launch notice said the game would be available the next day. |
The June 20 schedule also listed a June 21 streamer event ahead of the Experimental release. The Fun Pimps said the three-day event would involve more than 250 streamers from 30 countries, using 16 languages; those figures were the developer’s event announcement, not an independently audited attendance count. The schedule announcement identified some dates as tentative.
Where 1.0 launched
The July launch announcement named Steam, Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A developer diary also lists Mac and Linux, but that broader list does not establish that those platforms launched at the same time or through the same storefront. The developer’s 1.0 diary and schedule provide that platform context.

- Classic Antique Bronze Vibe & Perfect DND Gift Electroplated and deliberately worn for an ancient, battle-worn bronze tone that never goes out of style – an ideal D&D gift for players, dice goblins, and TTRPG collectors, perfect for rogue, warlock, or barbarian characters
What the developer said changed in 1.0
The Fun Pimps’ 1.0 feature descriptions include a new armor system and a new player-character system. These are the developer’s descriptions of changes in the release, rather than an independent assessment of their quality. The 1.0 developer diary contains the feature overview.
Historical launch price
The official launch notice listed a retail price of $44.99 USD for 1.0 at launch. That is a July 2024 figure, not confirmation of the game’s current price. The launch notice is the source for that historical price.
