If Assassin’s Creed Mirage is stuck on the loading screen or won’t start, first note your platform and where loading stops: before the main menu, while opening a save, or on an error-code screen. Try the platform-appropriate checks below in order. These are troubleshooting steps, not guaranteed Mirage-specific fixes; the official guidance available is most detailed for PlayStation, while Ubisoft’s PC guidance emphasizes diagnostics and support.
1. Give a first launch a little time and identify the symptom
If this is the first time you have launched the game, wait briefly before closing it, then note whether it reaches the menu or remains on the same screen. The official guidance cited here does not specify a wait time or establish shader compilation as the cause, so do not assume that a persistent stall is normal.

- Record whether the stall happens before the menu, while loading a save, or after an error appears.
- Note whether it happens every time or only on one attempt, and write down any error code.
2. Restart the platform, then try again
For PS4 and PS5, PlayStation recommends restarting the console when a game will not start. On PC, a full restart is a reasonable basic diagnostic, but Ubisoft’s surfaced Mirage PC guidance does not identify restarting as a confirmed fix for this symptom.
Shut down and restart your platform using its normal controls, then launch Mirage again. If it still stalls at the same point, continue with the checks for your platform.

3. Check for platform and game updates
PS4 and PS5
PlayStation’s game-start guidance says to check that the console has the latest system software. Follow the console’s current update prompts, then test the game again. PlayStation’s game-start troubleshooting guide covers its general launch checks.
PC
Use Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage PC support page for current technical troubleshooting. The available Ubisoft guidance does not establish that a particular graphics-driver update will resolve a loading-screen stall, so avoid treating one as a guaranteed remedy.
Xbox
Xbox-specific steps are not established by the cited guidance here. Use current official Xbox and Ubisoft support instructions rather than applying PlayStation-only procedures to an Xbox console.

4. On PlayStation, check service status, access, and licenses
These checks apply to PlayStation, not PC or Xbox. PlayStation recommends checking service status and addressing license or game-access issues when a game will not start.

- Confirm that the account you are using has access to the game, including any relevant game-sharing arrangement.
- Restore licenses using the current instructions for your console in PlayStation’s game-start guide.
5. If Mirage is on PS5 USB extended storage, move it to console storage
PlayStation specifically recommends moving a game installed on USB extended storage to PS5 console storage when troubleshooting a launch failure. This instruction is for PS5; it is not a general PC or Xbox fix.
Use the PS5 storage settings to move the installation to console storage, then launch Mirage again. Refer to PlayStation’s current launch troubleshooting steps if the menu labels or process differ on your system.

6. Repair or reinstall using your platform’s official process
PS4 and PS5
PlayStation recommends deleting and redownloading a game that will not start; its guidance for PS5 error CE-109573-5 also recommends reinstalling. Before deleting anything, make sure you understand how your saved data is stored and protected. Follow the relevant console instructions in PlayStation’s game-start guide or, if that exact code appears, PlayStation’s CE-109573-5 guidance.
PC
Use the repair or reinstall options documented by Ubisoft or your PC game platform. The cited Ubisoft listing points to technical troubleshooting but does not provide enough detail here to confirm a particular file-verification procedure or promise that reinstalling will fix this symptom.

Use the current official Xbox process for managing or reinstalling a game. Do not use PlayStation menu instructions on Xbox.

7. Rebuild the database on PS5 if earlier checks fail
PlayStation includes rebuilding the PS5 database in its Safe Mode guidance for persistent game-start problems. This is a PS5 procedure, not a universal fix for PC, PS4, or Xbox. Follow PlayStation’s current Safe Mode instructions exactly; do not improvise steps while the console is in Safe Mode.
For PS5 error CE-109573-5, PlayStation also lists restarting, reinstalling, and updating system software among its recommended troubleshooting actions. See the official error-code page if that code is displayed.
8. Contact support with details that help reproduce the problem
PC: use Ubisoft’s benchmark and diagnostic files
Ubisoft’s Mirage PC support listing points to technical troubleshooting and recommends using the built-in benchmark to assess whether your configuration can run the game. If the loading problem persists, contact Ubisoft Support and attach your DxDiag and MSInfo files as requested on Ubisoft’s Mirage PC support page. The game is listed for PC and consoles, and Ubisoft’s surfaced PC minimum requirements specify 40 GB of storage; that requirement is a storage figure, not a diagnosis of a loading fault. PlayStation: retain the error and describe what happens
If the issue remains, note any error code and describe the steps that reproduce the stall when contacting PlayStation Support. Its game-start guidance asks for error details and a reproducible description.
Xbox: use Xbox and Ubisoft support
For an Xbox installation, consult current official Xbox and Ubisoft support. The PlayStation-specific procedures above should not be treated as Xbox instructions.
