3. Jonathan David TOTW
David’s TOTW card appears in Destructoid’s candidate list and fits the striker-focused design. The reported boost to shooting could strengthen an already attack-oriented item, while the modest passing increase makes existing distribution a useful selection factor.
4. Hugo Ekitike Thunderstruck
Ekitike’s Thunderstruck item is one of the named options. As with every pick, the case for using it depends on the actual card’s starting attributes and whether it clears all entry requirements—not simply on the special-card label.

5. Matheus Cunha TOTW
Cunha’s TOTW item makes the shortlist because it is explicitly named by the candidate guide and can be assessed against the Evolution’s striker role and attacking upgrades. Compare its pace and passing with other eligible cards before committing an Evolution slot.
6. Randal Kolo Muani TOTW
Kolo Muani’s TOTW is another eligible-candidate suggestion from the historical guide. Its relative value would depend on the starting card: the Evolution adds useful shooting and dribbling, but does not eliminate the importance of its original pace and passing.
7. Sadio Mané Player Moments
Mané’s Player Moments item is included among Destructoid’s eleven suggestions. It may suit a squad that can use the upgraded striker role and attacking boosts, but the precise card must satisfy the Evolution’s PlayStyle and attribute caps.
8. Dodi Lukébakio Numero FUT
Lukébakio’s Numero FUT item is a named option, though its place here should be treated as a squad-dependent recommendation rather than a universal upgrade. Check its individual stats and restrictions against the alternatives available in your club.

9. Darwin Núñez Centurions
Núñez’s Centurions card rounds out the nine candidates. It was included in the historical candidate guide, but this ranking has no verified player-specific data to establish that it outperforms the two omitted names in every squad. Use the card only if its exact version met the rules and fills a need in your team.
Other candidates and why they are not ranked here
Destructoid also named Marcus Thuram Succession and Fran Kirby Grassroot Greats. They are not ranked in this nine-card selection because the available sources do not establish comparable card-level data that would support placing them above or below the picks. Destructoid describes upgrades in stages, including Finesse Shot and Tiki Taka PlayStyles before later PlayStyle+ upgrades. Because sources present the upgrade details differently, treat the table as a summary of reported total changes rather than a stage-by-stage guarantee. Destructoid reported these entry caps for Finesse Express: maximum 88 overall, striker (ST) position, no more than 10 PlayStyles, no more than two PlayStyles+, and maximum 94 pace. A candidate list is not an eligibility check: card versions may differ, and a card could fail one of these limits. Since no primary EA rules page was identified in the cited material, the in-game Evolution interface is the best place to confirm card-specific eligibility when an Evolution is available.
Destructoid reported the following objective sequence and difficulty requirements:
- Stage one: Play three matches and win one. Rush, Rivals, Champions, or Squad Battles were listed, with at least Semi-Pro difficulty where applicable.
- Stage two: Win two matches and score in two separate matches. The same listed modes and minimum Semi-Pro difficulty applied.
- Final stage: Play two Rivals or Champions matches.
These are the historical objectives reported by Destructoid; they do not indicate that the Evolution or its objectives can still be started.

Operation Sports and WeFUT reported an unlock price of 30,000 coins or 350 FC Points. That is a historical price, not a live offer. WeFUT listed an expiry of March 17 at 18:00, while FifaUltimateTeam.it reported the Evolution live on February 24, 2025. The retrieved WeFUT listing does not show the expiry year, so the date should not be read as a current availability window.
