99 Nights in the Forest UFO Repair Guide: Find All Four Alien Batteries

By VGSources Team 14 min read

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To repair the UFO in 99 Nights in the Forest, wait for the Alien’s Revenge event on night 3, complete alien outpost objectives, collect the four additional Alien Batteries required for engineering, and bring each battery back to the crashed ship beside your camp. When the ship’s interface reaches its completed state, the repair starts the next alien-ship challenge and unlocks the Command Ship sequence.

This is the current reported walkthrough from unofficial fan-maintained guides. The Alien’s Revenge page is marked as a stub, so the broad route is clearer than the exact layout or puzzle behavior of every outpost.

What the UFO repair objective actually is

The battery repair belongs to the newer Alien’s Revenge event route. The event is reported to begin on night 3, when an out-of-battery UFO lands outside the campfire area. It is not an ordinary chest-loot objective and it is not the same sequence described by older UFO-event pages.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Your job is to visit alien outposts, finish their objectives, obtain Alien Batteries, and return those batteries to the crashed ship. Completing the repair does not end the event. It launches a follow-up alien ship challenge and opens the Command Ship sequence.

The event overview is maintained at the Alien’s Revenge Event guide, updated September 28, 2026. Because that page is labeled a stub, use it for the event route and starting condition rather than as a guaranteed map of every outpost puzzle.

How many batteries do you need?

You need to find and add four Alien Batteries for the engineering objective. The battery guide describes the item as the power cell used in the repair step and states that the Alien Engineering badge requires finding four batteries.

The ship interface is reported to begin at 1/5. That display can make the objective look like it requires five batteries from the forest. The guide’s explanation is that one count is already present, so the player must supply four additional batteries. In practical terms, track your progress as “four batteries to find and return,” while expecting the ship to show a five-part total when the interface is complete.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The four-battery requirement and the 1/5 explanation come from the Alien Battery guide, added June 27, 2026. It is an unofficial guide, so the wording describes the currently reported game behavior rather than an official developer specification.

Step-by-step: repair the UFO

1. Reach night 3 and locate the crashed ship

Continue the survival run until the Alien’s Revenge event starts on night 3. The reported trigger is an out-of-battery UFO landing outside the campfire. Look for the ship near camp rather than assuming it will be at an outpost or inside a normal loot area.

If you are searching before night 3, the repair objective may simply not have started. The event’s night number is the first condition to check before spending time looking for batteries. Once the ship is present, use it as your fixed return point for the rest of the objective.

2. Establish the ship as your progress checkpoint

Before traveling away from camp, inspect the ship’s interface and note the starting counter. The reported display is 1/5. Taking a moment to read that number prevents a common mistake later: treating the denominator as five batteries that must all be found in the forest. The practical target is four new batteries, with the ship’s pre-existing count making a five-part completed display.

The available guides do not specify a currency fee, crafting recipe, purchased component, or external accessory for this repair. The required objects are the digital Alien Batteries earned through the event route. Do not substitute ordinary batteries, general loot, or real-world hardware.

3. Travel to alien outposts

After the UFO appears, search for alien outposts and complete the objective at each location. The event guide says outposts may be guarded or may contain a challenge. They are separate event objectives, not ordinary chests that happen to contain a random battery.

The guide gives two examples of the kind of activity an outpost can require:

  • OFFICIALLY LICENSED: Genuine 99 Nights in the Forest merchandise by PhatMojo.
  • Using an alien corpse at a scanner.
  • Fishing at an outpost.

Those examples show why the route is not a single combat-only checklist. An outpost can ask for a specific interaction, and the exact activity can differ from one location to another. The event page says the outposts can be completed in any order, so you can choose the safest or most accessible one instead of following a fixed map order.

4. Finish the outpost objective completely

Do not leave as soon as you reach an outpost or defeat a guard. Complete the activity associated with that location and check for the reward state. The reported reward can reveal an Alien Chest and a battery. Since the event page is a stub, it does not establish a universal puzzle solution for every outpost; treat the listed corpse-scanner and fishing tasks as examples, not a promise that every run uses exactly those two activities.

When an objective appears to be finished but no reward is visible, recheck whether the required interaction was completed rather than assuming the battery spawned somewhere in the normal forest loot pool. A guarded location may still require its event interaction after the encounter, while an activity-based outpost may need the activity itself completed before the chest becomes available.

5. Collect each Alien Battery

Pick up the Alien Battery awarded by the completed outpost. The battery guide identifies it as the repair power cell, and the event route treats these batteries as the items you must bring back to the ship.

Keep a simple count in your notes or with your team: one, two, three, and four additional batteries. This avoids confusing the ship’s 1/5 display with the number still in the world. If several players are moving between outposts, agree on who has collected each battery and which ones have already been submitted; the ship counter is the authoritative checkpoint available in the reported route.

6. Return to the UFO after every find

Bring batteries back to the crashed ship as you obtain them instead of waiting until all four are in your inventory. The battery guide recommends returning them as they are found so the group can see its progress at the ship interface.

This also gives you a practical checkpoint. If the counter does not change after returning a battery, resolve that issue before traveling to another outpost. The exact button prompt or animation can vary with the game’s current interface, but the reported route is to use the ship as the destination for each battery rather than leaving all four unsubmitted in your inventory.

Returning one at a time also separates two possible problems. If the counter advances, the battery was accepted and you can continue searching. If it does not, verify that you are interacting with the crashed ship itself and that the item is the Alien Battery from an event outpost, not a different object picked up elsewhere.

7. Confirm the completed count

After the fourth additional battery has been returned, inspect the ship interface. The reported display starts at 1/5 and should reflect the completed five-part total once the four player-found batteries have been added. The important condition is that the engineering requirement is satisfied; do not search for a separate fifth battery just because the denominator is five.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

If you have personally found four batteries but the display is not complete, compare your personal count with the ship’s submitted count. A battery still being carried, dropped, or left at an outpost is not the same as one credited by the ship. Use the interface to distinguish “found” from “installed.”

8. Enter the follow-up ship challenge

Repairing the UFO is the transition into the next stage. The battery guide says completion launches a follow-up alien ship challenge and unlocks the Command Ship sequence. Prepare to continue rather than treating the repair as a standalone reward or an optional cosmetic interaction.

In other words, a completed counter is a story and gameplay checkpoint. Once it changes to the finished state, look for the newly available ship challenge instead of returning to ordinary survival tasks and assuming the event failed to trigger.

Where should you put the Alien Batteries?

Return them to the crashed UFO beside the campfire and submit them through the ship’s interface. The ship is the destination described by the battery guide; alien outposts are where you earn the batteries, not where you permanently install them.

Players sometimes describe the problem as finding the batteries but not knowing whether to carry, drag, or store them. The reliable distinction is simpler: complete an outpost, take its Alien Battery, travel back to the ship, and use the ship interaction when you arrive. Repeat that process until four additional batteries have been credited. Because the available pages do not document every current input prompt, do not rely on a particular controller button or drag animation if the interface changes; rely on the ship’s counter and completion state.

If the interface appears unchanged, do not immediately abandon the run or revisit every outpost. First confirm that you are at the crashed ship beside camp, that the item came from an alien-event objective, and that the interaction was completed. The guides support the destination and count, but not a universal keyboard, mouse, or controller instruction.

What can happen at an alien outpost?

Guarded locations

Some outposts may be guarded. Clear the encounter according to the game’s normal combat rules, then check the location for its event objective and reward. Defeating a guard alone is not described as the universal completion condition, so look for the interaction or chest that confirms the outpost is done.

Scanner objectives

The event guide gives using an alien corpse at a scanner as one example. If you find a scanner, look for the corpse-related interaction indicated by the location rather than treating the scanner as a generic loot container. The example identifies the type of objective, but it does not establish a fixed number of corpses, a universal scanner order, or one guaranteed map position.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Fishing objectives

Fishing at an outpost is another example listed by the event guide. This means an outpost can require a non-combat activity. Bring the supplies or equipment your current run normally uses for fishing, but do not assume the event page establishes a single species, quantity, or fishing spot for every outpost.

Order of completion

The event page says outposts can be completed in any order. Use that freedom to reduce travel or risk, but keep the four-battery target in view. The available guidance does not provide a fixed numbered route, coordinate list, or guaranteed order that applies to every run.

Because no authoritative layout is supplied, a sensible approach is to finish an outpost fully before moving on, record whether it produced a battery, and return to camp when one is secured. That method follows the documented objective without assuming that every run places the same challenge in the same location.

Planning the run around the battery count

The four-battery requirement is easiest to manage when you separate three states: an outpost has been found, its objective has been completed, and its battery has been submitted. Only the third state advances the ship’s repair counter. Marking those states prevents an apparently completed location from being counted twice and prevents a carried battery from being mistaken for an installed one.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

At the start, record the ship’s 1/5 display. After the first return, check whether it advances; repeat after each later return. This creates a simple audit trail without relying on an exact map or on memory of which player visited which outpost. If your group splits up, share the submitted total at the ship before anyone claims that all four have been found.

Outposts being available in any order means there is no documented requirement to clear a particular location first. Choose the route your current run can safely reach, but do not infer that a nearby ordinary chest replaces an outpost objective. The battery page specifically places these power cells in the alien-event route.

Troubleshooting the repair objective

What you see Most useful check
No UFO near camp Confirm that the run has reached night 3, the reported start of Alien’s Revenge.
You are finding ordinary chests but no batteries Search for alien outposts and complete their event objectives; batteries are described as rewards from the alien-event route rather than ordinary chest loot.
An outpost seems empty Look for its specific challenge or guard and complete the associated interaction. The listed examples include a corpse scanner and fishing.
The counter looks like five batteries are required Interpret 1/5 as the ship’s total display. The reported engineering task is to find and add four additional batteries.
You have a battery but the repair has not advanced Return to the crashed ship and submit the battery through its interface. Check the counter before leaving again.
You completed an activity but found no chest Recheck that the outpost objective, not just a nearby combat encounter, was completed. Exact reward behavior is not fully documented on the stub page.
The ship counter advances fewer times than your personal count Separate batteries found from batteries returned. Only batteries credited by the ship count toward the repair.
The repair is complete but the event appears to continue That is expected in the reported route: repair starts a follow-up alien ship challenge and unlocks the Command Ship sequence.

These checks separate confirmed route conditions from assumptions about exact puzzle behavior. The event page is explicitly a stub, so an unfamiliar outpost layout is not evidence that the entire repair route is different.

New Alien’s Revenge repair route versus the older UFO event

Older UFO-event material describes a different route involving a random event and a Mothership portal. Do not combine that description with the battery-repair steps above. The two accounts differ in their starting condition, required item, and destination.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Element Alien’s Revenge repair route Older UFO-event description
Starting condition Reported to begin on night 3 with an out-of-battery UFO outside the campfire. Described as a separate random UFO event.
Required item Four additional Alien Batteries for the engineering objective; the interface is reported as 1/5. A Mothership-portal route is described instead of this four-battery repair count.
Where progress is made Alien outposts provide objectives and can reveal Alien Batteries. The older description does not establish the same outpost-and-battery sequence.
Destination and outcome Return batteries to the crashed ship, then continue into the alien ship challenge and Command Ship sequence. Uses a Mothership teleporter in the older account.

The older page is the UFO Event guide, also updated September 28, 2026. Its different route may reflect an earlier or separate event version. It should not override the newer Alien’s Revenge battery instructions when your game presents the night-3 crashed ship and battery counter.

How to identify which route you are seeing

Use the opening condition and the interface as your first clues. An out-of-battery ship outside the campfire on night 3, followed by a 1/5 counter and alien-outpost objectives, matches the Alien’s Revenge repair account. A description centered on a random UFO event and a Mothership teleporter belongs to the older account. Keeping those markers separate prevents you from searching for a portal when the active objective is asking for batteries.

What is confirmed, and what remains uncertain?

The strongest consistently described points are the night-3 start, the crashed ship near camp, the use of alien outposts, the four additional batteries, the 1/5 interface explanation, and the follow-up ship challenge. Those details are repeated across the event and battery guides.

Exact outpost layouts, guard placements, puzzle sequences, and interaction prompts are less certain. The Alien’s Revenge page is marked as a stub, and both pages are unofficial fan-maintained sources. No current official Roblox or developer guide for this exact current sequence was published. Treat the walkthrough as current reported game guidance, and expect small interface or encounter changes if the event is updated.

The same limitation applies to timing within an outpost. The guides identify examples such as a corpse scanner and fishing, but they do not provide a complete puzzle table, guaranteed coordinates, fixed enemy roster, or universal control binding. Follow the objective shown in your game and use the ship counter to verify progress rather than forcing an undocumented sequence.

Quick repair checklist

  1. Reach night 3 and locate the out-of-battery UFO beside the campfire.
  2. Read the ship’s starting 1/5 interface so you know the total-count display.
  3. Find an alien outpost and complete its objective, whether it is guarded or uses an activity such as a scanner or fishing.
  4. Collect the Alien Battery awarded by the completed outpost.
  5. Return to the crashed ship and submit the battery through its interface.
  6. Check the counter, then repeat the outpost-and-return loop.
  7. Stop searching for a new battery once four additional batteries have been found and credited; the fifth count is the ship’s reported total.
  8. Continue into the alien ship challenge and Command Ship sequence after the repair completes.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the UFO repair event start?

The Alien’s Revenge route is reported to start on night 3, when an out-of-battery UFO appears outside the campfire.

How many Alien Batteries do I need to find?

Find and add four additional Alien Batteries. The ship may show 1/5 because one count is already present, so you do not need to locate a newly spawned fifth battery.

Where do Alien Batteries come from?

They are reported as rewards from alien outpost objectives, which can be guarded or can require activities such as using a corpse at a scanner or fishing. They are not described as ordinary chest loot.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Where do I put the batteries?

Return each Alien Battery to the crashed UFO beside the campfire and submit it through the ship’s interface. Outposts are the collection locations; the ship is the repair destination.

Can I complete outposts in any order?

Yes. The Alien’s Revenge guide says outposts can be completed in any order, although it does not provide a guaranteed map order or full puzzle list.

Why does the counter say 1/5 when the objective says four batteries?

The reported explanation is that the interface displays a five-part total with one count already present. Your task is to find and add four more batteries.

What happens after the repair is complete?

Repairing the ship launches a follow-up alien ship challenge and unlocks the Command Ship sequence. It is not the end of the event.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Is the older Mothership portal walkthrough the same quest?

No. Older UFO-event material describes a separate or earlier route involving a random event and a Mothership teleporter. Do not mix those steps with the night-3 Alien’s Revenge battery repair.

The Bottom Line

Reach night 3, complete alien outpost objectives, collect four additional Alien Batteries, and return each one to the crashed UFO beside camp. Use the 1/5 display as the total-count indicator, then continue into the alien ship challenge and Command Ship sequence when the repair completes.
