No new Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons collection has been announced in Nintendo’s September 9, 2026 Zelda anniversary update. Nintendo’s listed game announcement is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2, alongside anniversary hardware and other projects. Both Oracle games are listed in Nintendo UK’s Game Boy – Nintendo Switch Online catalogue, but that is existing catalogue access—not confirmation of a new collection.
What Nintendo has—and has not—announced
Nintendo’s September 9, 2026 anniversary update says Ocarina of Time is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026. The update also covers anniversary hardware and accessories, Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo planned for 2027, concerts, digital cards, and a live-action film. It does not name Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, or a new collection of the two games.
That is a status check on this specific official update, not proof that Nintendo could never announce an Oracle release separately. Until Nintendo makes such an announcement, a collection’s release date, platform, and format are unconfirmed.
Where you can play Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons now
Nintendo UK lists both games in its Game Boy – Nintendo Switch Online catalogue: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. Nintendo’s UK Game Boy catalogue page also lists each title.

How the two Oracle games differ—and connect
| Game | Central mechanic and setting | Main antagonist |
|---|---|---|
| Oracle of Seasons | Link uses the Rod of Seasons to change seasons and overcome obstacles in Holodrum. | Onox |
| Oracle of Ages | Link uses the Harp of Ages to travel through time in Labrynna. | Veran |
Nintendo describes them as separate adventures with a connection: linking the games by password unlocks an expanded adventure and content unavailable in either one alone. Nintendo’s overview of the games explains their distinct mechanics and the password link.

The Oracle titles were action-adventure games for Game Boy Color. Nintendo’s development interview dates their simultaneous European release to October 2001 and describes Capcom making the games with Nintendo staff checking in on development. Nintendo’s Zelda history places Link in the parallel lands of Holodrum and Labrynna, where Din is taken by Onox and Nayru is possessed by Veran.
Those original Game Boy Color releases remain a separate option for collectors seeking physical cartridges; they are not evidence of a new edition. For a used cartridge, assess the seller, authenticity, region, and condition before buying.
