Valiant Hearts: Coming Home is the surprise Ubisoft game LEVEL UP says has arrived on Xbox Game Pass. The same outlet reports that Don’t Fret is planned as a day-one Game Pass release sometime this winter, but Xbox’s store listing does not confirm that inclusion or give an exact date.
What surprise Ubisoft game was added to Xbox Game Pass?
LEVEL UP reports that Valiant Hearts: Coming Home, a sequel to Valiant Hearts: The Great War, appeared on Game Pass without a prior announcement. The outlet says Game Pass Ultimate members can play it at no additional cost. Xbox’s general Game Pass pages reviewed do not independently confirm this specific title’s catalog status, so check the live library for your region and plan before relying on access. LEVEL UP’s report discusses the addition.
The story follows James and the Harlem Hellfighters during World War I, combining side-scrolling exploration, puzzles, and action, according to LEVEL UP.
What day-one game is coming to Game Pass this winter?
LEVEL UP reports that Don’t Fret is planned as a day-one Game Pass release, with a winter window and no exact launch date. This is a report about the game’s expected availability, not a title-specific confirmation on the Xbox Store.

The Xbox Store listing identifies Digital Pajamas as publisher and Scary Kid Studios as developer. It describes a single-player horror game in which players awaken as Fret, a sentient guitar at Harmonic Heights music school, and use stealth, sound, and music-based puzzles. The listing gives PC and Xbox Series X|S as platforms, but does not state that the game is included with Game Pass. View the Xbox Store listing.
Which Game Pass tiers include day-one games?
Xbox’s general eligibility guidance says day-one games are included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, not Premium or Essential. That service-wide rule does not confirm that Don’t Fret specifically will join the catalog. Xbox also says Premium subscribers can play new Xbox-published games within one year of launch, excluding Call of Duty titles. See Xbox’s Game Pass eligibility and availability information.
