Reports describe a mobile-focused game with four-player co-op and a roster of familiar heroes—an arrangement that recalls the team-based, evolving ambitions of Marvel’s Avengers. But the footage is not an official reveal, and key details such as platforms, release timing and monetization remain unconfirmed.
What is Project Comet?
Project Comet is the name attached to leaked footage of a purported Marvel game. The trailer reportedly appeared on Bilibili on October 2, 2026, and coverage published over the following days described it as a mobile action RPG. Neither Marvel nor Scopely had formally announced the project as of October 6, 2026, according to Mobilegamer.biz.
The codename, Marvel setting and game details should therefore be treated as reported, not confirmed. Push Square, Insider Gaming and PocketGamer.biz have described the footage as a leak; it is not equivalent to an official gameplay presentation or hands-on preview.
What does the leaked footage reportedly show?
Coverage of the alleged trailer describes squads taking on missions in semi-open Marvel environments, with real-time action combat and apparent support for four-player co-op. The heroes named across reports include Spider-Man, Wolverine, Black Widow, Doctor Strange and War Machine. The roster and mechanics could change, and the footage does not establish the final playable lineup.

Vandal describes touchscreen controls and hack-and-slash combat. Its account of the leaked story premise says the Fantastic Four disappear after defeating Galactus, villains begin to emerge, and a new team of heroes steps in. That is a reported synopsis of the footage, not an officially published story description.
Why compare it with Marvel’s Avengers?
The comparison is about the apparent concept, not a confirmed connection between the games. Push Square Editor Sammy Barker said the leaked idea reminded him “a teensy bit” of what Crystal Dynamics was trying to do with Marvel’s Avengers: a live-service game with new heroes planned over time. Project Comet’s reported squad missions and ensemble cast make that analogy understandable, but no cited source establishes that its developers share the same design plan or intend the same update model.
Rank #2
- Imagine leaping into adventure with Avengers figures, vehicles, and roleplay items inspired by the Marvel Universe
- Includes Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther and Iron Spider
- Connect the Titan Hero Power FX Pack (not included) to operate the figures
The comparison also has limits. Marvel’s Avengers was released as a console and PC game, while Project Comet is reported as mobile-focused. And Barker’s further observation—that it would take substantial polish to match games such as Genshin Impact or Wuthering Waves—is editorial opinion, not a tested assessment of Project Comet. The footage has not been evaluated in a hands-on review.
Which platforms are reported?
Reports point to iOS and Android, with PC also mentioned. Some coverage mentions cross-play, but the cited reporting does not establish a definitive platform list or confirm how cross-play would work. Console availability is speculative: Push Square describes consoles as a possibility, not a confirmed release plan.

| Platform or feature | What the reporting establishes |
|---|---|
| iOS and Android | Reported as target platforms; not officially confirmed. |
| PC | Reported by coverage of the alleged game; not officially confirmed. |
| Consoles | Speculative; no supported console platform has been confirmed. |
| Cross-play | Mentioned in some coverage, but implementation and supported platforms are not established. |
PocketGamer.biz says other reporting connects the project to Scopely and to iOS, Android and PC. Mobilegamer.biz separately noted a Scopely job listing for an unannounced mobile action RPG based on a major intellectual property, but did not establish that the listing was for Project Comet. The listing is not confirmation of the game’s developer or identity.

- Official name and status: Project Comet is a reported codename; Marvel and Scopely have not formally confirmed the project in the cited coverage as of October 6, 2026.
- Release date: No date or launch window is established.
- Monetization: The cited coverage does not confirm whether the game will be free-to-play, use gacha mechanics, or follow another model.
- Final roster and design: The named heroes and apparent co-op features come from leaked footage and reporting, not a final official feature list.
- Platforms: Mobile and PC are reported; console support and cross-play details remain uncertain.
For now, the strongest case for the comparison with Marvel’s Avengers is simply the reported combination of cooperative superhero missions and a recognizable ensemble. Whether Project Comet becomes an ongoing game, how it handles new heroes, and whether its combat and presentation can stand out are questions the leak cannot answer.
