If you were looking for the typing battle royale teased in 2025, it is Final Sentence—and it has already launched on Steam. Released April 9, 2026, the survival-horror game turns speed and accuracy into a fight to stay in the match, with a 40-player Classic Battle Royale alongside smaller competitive modes.
What is Final Sentence?
Final Sentence is a competitive typing game from developer Button Mash and publisher Polden Publishing. Instead of aiming or moving with conventional game controls, you race to type the prompts on screen accurately and quickly. Steam sums up the premise this way: “Type fast and accurately as if your life depends on it – because it does.” Steam’s Final Sentence listing
The survival-horror presentation gives that typing contest its tension. In a preview of the Steam Next Fest build, GamesRadar’s writer described a dark room, typewriter imagery, a masked threat and other typists racing through the same prompt. That account reflects the preview build and the writer’s experience at the time; it does not establish that every visual detail is unchanged in the released game.
