This Resident Evil Requiem route takes Leon from the RPD entrance through the orphanage flashback and Mr. X encounters, then out past the basketball court. It follows the practical route described by Prima Games’ Enzo Zalamea on February 26, 2026; that guide says its full-completion walkthrough would be updated later, so this is not an exhaustive collectible guide. Read the Prima Games walkthrough.
Enter the RPD and collect the first items
- At the start, look for the Mr. Raccoon figure on the wreckage to the left of the alley route. Collect it, then follow the alley toward the RPD gate.
- Enter the station and approach the statue area to trigger the scene. Use the save computer and supply box, then collect the supplies behind you. Read the note about resources remaining in the armory, Kendo’s shop, and the parking garage.
Move through the station to the S.T.A.R.S. room
- Take the open door and follow the route past the West Office. Pick up the handgun ammo on the desk.
- Enter the blackboard room and read the file, then continue toward the destroyed wall on the roof. Shoot the Mr. Raccoon on the rubble.
- Explore the next hallway and room. Shoot the yellow tape to lower the ladder, then climb toward the S.T.A.R.S. room. The guide also points out a safe and Barry’s files there.
Find the Mechanic Jack and open both RPD gates
Return to the hallway and go to the Library. The Mr. Raccoon figure is concealed behind a bottom shelf near the books. Take the Mechanic Jack from the floor; use it to open both the east and west RPD gates.
Play the orphanage flashback and escape Mr. X
Continue along the east side until the cutscene starts. The sequence requires playing a flashback in the orphanage. After it, Mr. X returns and Leon must escape through the damaged halls.
- Run ahead and use the opening in the wall.
- Take the door on the right and go up the stairs, then jump across.
- When Mr. X moves away, use the shortcut through the wall broken with the post.
- Continue to the exit to trigger the next scene.
Visit Kendo’s Gun Shop
Exit outside on the second floor and head to Kendo’s Gun Shop. Prima Games identifies a W870 Police Shotgun by the shelf near the door and notes that weapon upgrades are optional.

- Amazon Exclusive - 2 sided poster included in every game!
- Grace Ashcroft, an FBI intelligence analyst who is introverted and easily scared, representing a new type of character for the Resident Evil series. Grace will experience horror from the same perspective as the player as she learns to overcome her fears throughout the course of the story.
- For the first time ever in Resident Evil history, players will be able to freely switch between both first- and third-person perspectives throughout the game.
- An Anniversary to Remember: With March 2026 marking the Resident Evil series’ 30-year anniversary, Resident Evil Requiem marks its own milestone in the franchise.
- Pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem are now open, with the bonus of Grace’s costume: Apocalypse. Please note that the picture weapon does not come with the costume, but it can be obtained in-game.
If you have already upgraded the shotgun you are carrying, the guide suggests keeping it rather than switching. The choice depends on whether you want to preserve that upgrade investment or spend resources on the W870; the guide does not provide damage comparisons.
Defeat Mr. X by the basketball court
Continue to the open area by the basketball court for the final Mr. X encounter in this route. The following combat advice is the guide’s recommendation, not independently tested guidance.

- Aim for Mr. X’s exposed chest core. Use stronger weapons, including Requiem and rifle shots, while the core is exposed.
- After a perfect parry, switch to the shotgun for follow-up shots.
- When Mr. X drops to one knee, approach and execute with the hatchet. One execution does not end the fight: repeat the sequence for the final execution.
- Keep the hatchet sharpened. The guide warns that a broken hatchet cannot parry.
Leave the basketball court
After the fight, collect ammo from the box by the basketball court, open the gate, pass the defeated Mr. X, and continue through the orphanage. This ends the RPD section covered by the walkthrough; the story then returns to the orphanage in the present-day sequence.
