Arknights: Endfield is listed as free on the US PlayStation Store, and Google Play describes it as free to download. Both storefronts disclose optional in-game purchases, so you can start without buying the base game. The purchases documented on the US PlayStation Store include virtual currency, a pass, and a bundle; prices vary by item and storefront.
What does “free to play” mean for Endfield?
The US PlayStation game listing labels Arknights: Endfield free to play, while its Google Play listing says it is free to download and offers in-app purchases. In practical terms, you do not need to purchase the base game through those listings, but you can spend on optional digital content.

The platform disclosures say purchases may include random items. That disclosure alone does not establish specific drop rates, guarantee thresholds, or other detailed mechanics, so it should not be taken as a complete description of how any random-item system works.
What can you buy in-game?
The US PlayStation Store add-ons page lists these purchase types and prices. These are US storefront prices shown on the page, not universal or guaranteed permanent prices.

The store’s broad random-item disclosure does not identify which specific purchases contain random items or provide the mechanics for them. The listed item names and prices are not enough to determine comparative value, so there is no supported basis here to rank one option as the best deal.
Do purchases carry across platforms?
Gryphline says that in-game purchases, including bundles and Origeometries, are supported on NVIDIA GeForce NOW and that purchased items synchronize across platforms. Its GeForce NOW FAQ says the payment process works as it does on other platforms and that items obtained through purchases synchronize across platforms.

There is also a separate, narrower statement about the Steam playtest: Gryphline’s Steam playtest FAQ says the Steam version offers the same purchasable items as other PC clients, and that purchases can be used on other platforms when you log in with the same Gryphline Account. That statement is specifically about the playtest and should not be generalized beyond its stated context.
