Watch Dogs: Legion may be worth playing if you want its recruit-anyone take on an open-world action game, its near-future London setting, or the Bloodline story featuring Aiden Pearce and Wrench. For a low-cost entry, compare the live Standard price; if you want the story expansion and Season Pass extras, compare Gold with buying those items separately. Store listings describe the contents, but they do not establish how the game feels to play today.
What makes Watch Dogs: Legion distinctive?
The central idea is that you can recruit people you encounter around London and play as them. Ubisoft describes recruits as having different backstories, personalities, and skills, which makes the premise—not a single fixed protagonist—the main point of difference. See Steam’s Watch Dogs: Legion listing for its feature and edition descriptions.

The other clear draw for some players is Bloodline, a prequel expansion centered on Aiden Pearce and Wrench. Ubisoft announced its release for July 6, 2021, and describes it as a story adventure featuring those returning characters: Ubisoft’s Bloodline announcement.
Which edition should you buy?
Edition names and contents can vary by storefront. The PlayStation and Steam listings reviewed distinguish the base game, cosmetic or VIP extras, and Season Pass bundles; check the exact contents on the store and platform where you plan to buy.

| Option | Listed contents | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Base game, according to the Steam listing and PlayStation listing. | You mainly want the campaign and recruitment premise. |
| Deluxe | PlayStation lists the London Dissident Pack, Lynx Operative, and one week of VIP status. Steam describes the Deluxe Pack as including the London Dissident Pack, Lynx Operative, and one week of VIP Pass. | You specifically value those character, cosmetic, or VIP extras; this is not the listed route to a major story expansion. |
| Gold | PlayStation lists the base game, Season Pass, Watch Dogs Complete Edition, four heroes, extra DedSec missions, and a DedSec car skin. Steam describes Gold as including the Season Pass. | You want Bloodline and the Season Pass content. |
| Ultimate | PlayStation lists Gold’s contents plus the Ultimate Pack. Steam describes the bundle as the base game, Season Pass, and Ultimate Pack; its description names unique characters, masks, and four weeks of VIP status. | You also want the Ultimate Pack extras, and the price difference over Gold is worthwhile to you. |
For current platform-specific contents, consult the PlayStation Store listing or Steam listing. Ubisoft’s US Store also lists the game and add-ons at Watch Dogs: Legion.
Is Bloodline included in the Season Pass?
Yes. Ubisoft lists Bloodline as a standalone expansion and as part of the Season Pass. The pass also includes extra missions, four playable heroes, and the original Watch Dogs Complete Edition. Check the relevant storefront’s item description before buying, particularly if you already own the base game or another add-on. Ubisoft’s descriptions are available on its US Store page and its Bloodline announcement.

What does it cost right now?
As a dated US storefront snapshot on October 7, 2026, Ubisoft’s US Store showed Standard at $9, Deluxe at $10.50, Gold at $20, and Ultimate at $24. The same store showed Bloodline at $4.50 and the Season Pass at $12. PlayStation showed Ultimate at $23.99, with an offer ending October 8, 2026 at 06:59 UTC. These are temporary US observations, not guaranteed prices elsewhere or later.
Use those listings as comparisons, not a reason to buy a bundle automatically: if the base game is what interests you, check Standard’s live price; if you want several Season Pass items, compare the pass or Gold bundle against the separate prices on your own storefront. Ubisoft says PC DLC bought through Ubisoft.com or Ubisoft Connect is compatible only with a base game bought through those same platforms, so match the storefront before purchasing an add-on.

Which platforms are listed, and what should PC players check?
The current listings reviewed include PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions and a Steam PC listing. Ubisoft’s 2021 Bloodline announcement also documented Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, PS4, Stadia, and Amazon Luna at the expansion’s release. That historical list does not confirm a current storefront or streaming-service offering; check the live listing for your region and platform.
Steam’s PC listing gives these requirements. Verify the live page before buying in case they change.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you play online, and do you need PlayStation Plus?
PlayStation marks online play as optional, requires PS Plus for online play, and lists support for up to eight online players. If you are interested only in the solo campaign, that requirement does not apply. Ubisoft’s 2021 feature coverage describes co-op, Tactical Ops, and Spiderbot Arena, but the listings reviewed do not establish the current service status of online features on every platform. See the PlayStation listing for its current online-play details and Ubisoft’s online-mode feature coverage for the described modes.

How to make the buying decision
- Choose Standard if your main interest is the recruit-anyone premise and you want the lowest-cost entry point. Compare the live price in your region.
- Consider Gold or the Season Pass if you want Bloodline, extra heroes and missions, and the original Watch Dogs Complete Edition.
- Choose Ultimate only for its additional pack if the unique characters, masks, and VIP extras justify the difference over Gold on your storefront.
- Confirm platform and storefront compatibility before adding DLC, especially on PC; check regional availability and the exact bundle contents as well.
Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs: Legion development team said in December 2020 that it would continue to improve single-player as needed and that the game was then “in a solid state for all players across all platforms.” That is a dated developer statement, not independent evidence of the game’s current quality or online-service status.
