If a PlayStation Store purchase is missing from your library, first sign in to the account that bought it and confirm the transaction. Then check the right library for your console or app, hidden games, console-sharing settings, and licenses. Add-ons and in-game currency may need a separate check from the base game. If the purchase is confirmed but you still cannot access the content, contact PlayStation Support with the transaction details and evidence of the problem.
1. Confirm the purchase on the account that made it
A game not appearing in a library does not by itself mean the purchase failed. Sign in to the PlayStation account used to buy it, then check that account’s transaction history. Content bought on another account will not necessarily appear as owned on yours.

On PS5, go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Transaction History. You can also view transaction history through Account Management. The online history defaults to the past two years; select a date range and open a transaction to see its details. A family manager can view a family member’s PS5 transaction history.
If the transaction is absent or marked unsuccessful, keep any payment or transaction details and contact PlayStation Support rather than treating the item as a confirmed purchase.

2. Check the correct library for your device
Library locations differ by platform. Select the route that matches where you want to download or find the content:
| Platform | Where to look | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 | Games home > Game Library > Your Collection | Select the game and choose Download. For add-ons, open the game’s Add-Ons section. |
| PS4 | Library > Purchased | Select the game and choose Download. For add-ons, select the main game, then PlayStation Store > Your Add-Ons. |
| Web | Sign in at PlayStation.com, open your avatar > Game Library > Purchased | Select the item and choose Download. |
| PlayStation App | Game Library > Purchased | Select the item and choose Download to Console. A linked console is required for remote downloads. |

3. Check whether the game is hidden or console access is restricted
Sony’s troubleshooting guidance recommends checking the hidden-games list: games hidden in the library are hidden in the libraries of all consoles. If the game is not listed where expected, also check the access setting for the console:
- PS5: Check whether Console Sharing and Offline Play is enabled, if appropriate for your account and console.
- PS4: Check whether the console is activated as your primary PS4.
These settings affect access to purchased games on a console; they do not change which account made the purchase. See PlayStation’s troubleshooting steps for purchased content that cannot be found.

4. Restore the game’s licenses
A license problem can make a purchased game or add-on unavailable. Restoring licenses does not delete saved data, according to PlayStation’s license-restoration instructions.
- PS5: Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses. Alternatively, open the game’s options menu from the home screen or library and select Restore License.
- PS4: Go to Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses, then select Restore.
5. If an add-on, season pass, or in-game currency is missing
Look under the main game’s add-ons
An add-on may be listed separately from the base game. On PS5, go to Game Library > Your Collection, select the main game, and inspect its Add-Ons section. On PS4, go to Library > Purchased, select the main game, then choose PlayStation Store > Your Add-Ons. Sony provides these steps in its download guidance.

Check the service list for account-applied content
Some items, including season passes and in-game currency, may be applied to the account rather than downloaded as a separate game file. Check the service list for the purchasing account:
- PS5: Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Game and App Services.
- PS4: Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Service List.
PlayStation’s transaction-history and service-list guidance covers this distinction.

Check where and when the content appears in the game
Some purchased content only becomes available after reaching a particular checkpoint or location. If it is not visible in the game yet, check the game’s instructions for where that content is delivered. For some add-ons or currency used with a disc game, the disc’s licensed country or region must match the account’s region. See PlayStation’s add-on and in-game currency troubleshooting.

If the transaction appears on the purchasing account and the checks above have not restored access, contact PlayStation Support. Include the purchase details and enough information for support to identify and reproduce the problem:
- The game or content name and transaction details.
- The exact error code or message, if one appears.
- A concise description of what happens and the steps that reproduce it.
- The date and time you tried to access the content.
- A screenshot or video showing the missing item or error, if possible.
PlayStation’s download troubleshooting guidance asks for error messages, a detailed description, reproducible steps, and the date and time of the attempt. Menu labels can differ by system software or region; if a path does not match your console, use your local PlayStation Support site.
