If you mean the Broken Valley Bandit Camp in Divinity II—including Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga—the most likely reason Daylight Robbery will not start or the camp has changed is quest order. Reporting the camp to Louis or the Commander, or helping the seekers clear it first, can block the bandit-side events. Check your quest history and camp state before trying to retrigger anything; these instructions are specific to Divinity II, not every game with a bandit camp.
First, confirm which game and quest you mean
The advice here concerns the Broken Valley Bandit Camp and the quest Daylight Robbery in Divinity II. If your game or quest names differ, these steps may not apply. Historical Larian forum discussions identify the camp, Ragmar, the seekers, and Louis in connection with this quest, but they do not establish a fix for other games or a current patch-specific bug.

Check whether reporting the camp changed its state
Think back to whether you told Louis or the Commander where the camp was, or turned in Into the Bandit’s Den. A Larian support-forum reply says camp quests can be completed as long as you do not first inform Louis of the camp’s location; after reporting it, the bandits may become hostile. In a separate discussion, a player connected reporting the bandits to the Commander with the camp’s missing NPCs and hostile state. Read the Larian discussion about reporting the camp to Louis and the discussion about the Commander and missing NPCs.
If you have not reported the location yet, complete the camp’s bandit quests and try to start Daylight Robbery before doing so. That ordering is community guidance drawn from the forum discussions, not a current developer-published quest guide.

Check whether the seekers already cleared the camp
If you helped the seekers wipe out the bandits before completing the robbery quest, that may have removed the conditions needed to finish it. Larian Support participant Raze warned, “You may not be able to complete that if you help the seekers wipe the place out first.” The Larian support discussion does not describe a reset or recovery method after the camp is cleared.
Where to look if Daylight Robbery has not started
If the camp is still in a state where its bandits and quests are available, check the quest log, then try the likely start points:
Rank #2
- Flexible character system: In Titan Quest 2, you are in control of you own fate. Customize your hero, then form your own class by combining two masteries to match your playstyle
- Meaningful loot: Every item serves a function and every class has many options. Even the most common spear can be upgraded into a unique item spoken of only in legend!
- Challenging action RPG combat: Enemies form factions and work together, combining their unique skills and abilities to keep you on your toes. Access every skill at your disposal to vanquish them!
- A beautiful, handcrafted world rooted in Greek myth: Traverse stunning vistas with your divine mount, explore lovingly designed levels full of verticality, and uncover secret locations
- Online multiplayer: Join up with friends to take on the Goddess of Retribution. Like Jason and the Argonauts, sometimes you need a group of heroes for your journey
- Talk to Ragnar in the Bandit Camp.
- Approach the robbery scene and check whether the event begins.
These start points and the warning about turning in Into the Bandit’s Den to Louis first come from a Neoseeker walkthrough search excerpt. The page itself was inaccessible, so treat this as lower-confidence guidance rather than a guaranteed trigger route. A player walkthrough post also recommends returning to camp after siding with the bandits and looking for Ragnar in a tent; it is player advice, not an official quest guide. The related Larian forum thread discusses the camp quest ordering.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you recover the quest after reporting the bandits or clearing the camp?
The available reports indicate that reporting the camp or clearing it for the seekers can make Daylight Robbery unavailable. If you have already made one of those choices, an earlier save from before the decision is the only recovery supported by the available accounts. They do not establish a console command, save editor fix, or reliable way to reset the camp by leaving and returning. There is also no confirmed current patch fix in these sources.
