If a saved outfit preset has vanished or will not apply in Disney Dreamlight Valley, first reopen the Wardrobe and its Favorites or outfit-preset view, then restart the game and check Gameloft’s current Known Issues page. These are low-risk checks, not guaranteed fixes: Gameloft’s reviewed support guidance does not document a universal repair for missing or invalid outfit presets. If the problem persists, contact Gameloft Support with your platform, game version, and details of what happened.
First, identify what is missing
An outfit preset is a saved avatar look. It is different from an individual clothing item that disappears when worn, a DreamSnaps clothing filter, or a Decoration Preset used to save furniture and decor in a Valley area. The distinction matters: the troubleshooting for a saved avatar outfit will not restore a missing furniture layout.
If you mean a saved avatar outfit, try these reversible checks in order:
- Reopen the Wardrobe. Leave the current menu, return to the Wardrobe, and inspect Favorites or the outfit-preset area again. Confirm you are viewing the right category. This can rule out a menu or view issue, but it is not a documented repair for a deleted preset.
- Close and relaunch the game. After the game restarts, return to the Wardrobe and check whether the preset appears or applies. Treat this as a basic diagnostic, not a guaranteed fix.
- Check the current Known Issues page. Look for wardrobe or clothing reports that match your symptom. Gameloft’s list can change, and a similar listed issue does not prove it has the same cause as yours. Gameloft Known Issues — Disney Dreamlight Valley
- Contact Gameloft Support if it remains missing or unusable. Include your platform and game version, the preset name if you remember it, when it disappeared or stopped applying, what you did immediately beforehand, and screenshots or a short recording if available. Avoid deleting saves, clearing local data, unlinking accounts, or reinstalling as first steps. The official material reviewed does not establish those actions as safe or effective fixes for this particular problem.

If the preset loads but clothing is missing
A preset that applies while one or more pieces vanish is not necessarily a missing preset. Gameloft lists clothing disappearing or appearing invisible from some angles, clipping, and clothing disappearing after certain accessories are selected because some items are incompatible. If this is what you see, try the outfit without the most recently selected accessory and compare the result with the current Known Issues list. Gameloft Known Issues — Disney Dreamlight Valley
Gameloft also notes that a bundled avatar outfit may be granted only after completing a quest. That is a separate case from a previously saved preset going missing; check the relevant quest progress if the missing outfit is a bundle reward.

What the documented preset bugfix does—and does not—cover
Gameloft’s August 28, 2024 hotfix notes say: “A mannequin will no longer spawn in some building interiors after players have created an outfit preset.” This addressed a particular mannequin side effect. Decoration Presets are for arranging furniture and decor in Valley areas, not for saving avatar clothing. Gameloft introduced the feature in the June 3, 2026 Path of the Hero update. It works with Group Mode: select an area, save its items as a preset, and later remove, copy, or replace that decorated section. The Path of the Hero Patch Notes

In this decorating system, a highlighted Mirage means you do not own enough of an item used in the saved decoration. Interact with the Mirage to buy or craft the missing item and place it. That behavior concerns decor, not a missing avatar outfit.
