Use those results to focus each attempt on one timing goal rather than trying to improve everything at once.
How Boss Challenge supports timing practice
Shift Up’s May 23, 2024 announcement describes Boss Challenge as a mode featuring the 19 bosses from the base game. It lets players use their own gear or select from several presets, ranging from a minimum preset to a maximum preset. After each fight, the game analyzes battle data, including battle time, perfect parries, perfect dodges, and consumable use. Those counts make the mode useful for checking whether your chosen timing input is becoming more consistent.

The announcement does not specify training-room navigation or a way to set an enemy’s attack pattern. A focused drill for parries and perfect dodges
The following is a practical drill based on the mode’s recorded metrics, not a developer-prescribed training routine.

- Choose a boss you have already defeated. The announcement says access depends on battle data from previously defeated bosses, so a boss you have not beaten may not be available.
- Pick one goal for the attempt. For example, concentrate on perfect parries, or on perfect dodges. Keeping the goal narrow makes the matching result count easier to interpret.
- Select a gear setup. Use a preset if you want a ready-made setup, or your own gear if you want to practice with your preferred build. The announcement does not list preset stats or establish which preset is best for any player.
- Fight, then review the analysis. Look at the perfect-parry or perfect-dodge count that matches your goal, alongside battle time and consumable use. Use those measures as feedback between attempts; they are not a direct explanation of why a particular input succeeded or failed.
- Adjust one thing for the next run. You might choose a different preset or keep the setup and focus on a different timing goal. Treat a lower-challenge setup as a way to reduce pressure, or a more demanding one as a way to rehearse under more pressure—this is practice advice, not a quantified effect stated by Shift Up.
Choosing a boss, preset, and difficulty
Boss access
Boss Challenge is not described as an unrestricted practice list: Shift Up says players need battle data from bosses they have previously defeated. Progress through the game and defeat the boss first if you are aiming to practice against a specific one, then check whether it is available in your version.
Presets or your own gear
Presets offer a way to enter with a selected setup, while using your own gear lets you practice with the equipment you prefer. Shift Up describes presets from minimum to maximum but does not publish their exact stats in the announcement. Choose based on the kind of practice you want, rather than assuming a particular preset guarantees more parry or dodge opportunities.

Normal and Hard
The 2024 announcement says Hard difficulty is available after the player has seen the ending. It does not provide a complete comparison of current difficulty settings. For a reward, the announcement says defeating every boss on Normal difficulty or higher earns Eve’s Neurolink Suit.

The post-challenge analysis can show battle time, perfect parries, perfect dodges, and consumable use. Comparing the count for your chosen goal across attempts can help you see whether the result is moving in the direction you want. The announcement does not say that the analysis identifies individual attack windows, explains missed inputs, or gives a practice score, so use the counts as a simple progress check rather than a diagnosis.
