To farm Alexander gear in FFXIV, first choose between Normal-mode tokens and Savage rewards. Normal floors award tier-specific tokens that can be exchanged with Sabina in Idyllshire; Savage clears historically awarded gear from coffers and tier-specific Manifesto pages for selected equipment. For weapons, The Creator’s completion currency follows a separate exchange route. The old patch notes document token costs, but they do not establish today’s Normal-mode weekly eligibility—check the reward display in the current client before planning repeat runs.
Choose the Alexander tier and reward route
Alexander’s three raid tiers are Gordias, Midas, and The Creator. Each has Normal and Savage versions, with different rewards. Decide first whether you want a specific armor or accessory slot, a Savage drop or page exchange, or the completion currency used toward a weapon.

- Normal gear: clear the relevant floor for tier-specific tokens, then exchange the required combination with Sabina in Idyllshire. Historical costs are listed below.
- Savage gear: Savage treasure coffers and Manifesto pages are a separate reward path. The patch notes describe the rules in effect when each tier was released; do not assume every historical weekly restriction still applies.
- Weapon currency: Midas and The Creator Normal completion rewards included a gear item exchangeable toward weapon currency. For The Creator, Patch 3.57 later changed the Alexandrian Gear requirement for Micro Tomestones.
Unlock Gordias and enter Alexander
Patch 3.01 listed Gordias as a level 60 raid with an average item-level requirement of 170 and an eight-player party. It also described solo queuing through Duty Finder after unlocking the raid. The listed unlock quest is “Disarmed,” given by Slowfix in Idyllshire at X:7, Y:6, after the Heavensward main scenario. These are the entry details in the historical patch notes; use the current client’s unlock and duty requirements for your character. Square Enix: Patch 3.01 Notes
Normal-mode tokens: costs and exchange
Normal-mode coffers in the original systems yielded tokens rather than a direct gear piece. Take the appropriate tier’s tokens to Sabina in Idyllshire. The exchange quantities below are the costs published for each tier, not confirmation of current weekly limits.

The token families and costs are listed in the official notes for Gordias, Patch 3.01, Midas, Patch 3.2, and The Creator, Patch 3.4. Midas and The Creator Normal also had a tier completion reward—Midan Gear or Alexandrian Gear, respectively—exchangeable toward a weapon currency in the patch-era system.
How to farm Normal tokens efficiently
- Identify the exact gear slot and tier. Use the table to determine the token type and quantity required; tokens are tier-specific.
- Find the corresponding floor. Run the Normal area that awards the needed token, rather than repeating unrelated floors.
- Check the duty’s reward eligibility display. The original Gordias notes said one token could be received per floor each week while entries were unrestricted; Midas notes said one item per area per week. The Creator notes also described a weekly Alexandrian Gear completion reward. These are historical rules, and the reviewed official notes do not establish current Normal-mode weekly limits.
- Exchange with Sabina in Idyllshire. Turn in the matching tokens for the selected slot. Confirm the exchange item and current requirements in game before spending tokens.
Savage gear, Manifesto pages, and weekly changes
Savage is not simply a higher-difficulty version of the Normal token exchange. The official patch notes describe Savage treasure coffers containing gear and tier-specific Manifesto pages awarded for cleared areas under the rules at that time; pages could be exchanged with Sabina for selected equipment. Patch 3.4 explicitly removed Midas Savage’s weekly entrance and coffer reward restrictions. The Creator Savage notes also listed Alexandrian Manifesto page costs for gear, weapons, accessories, and upgrade items, and described reduced coffers for players replaying a floor under those then-current rules. Treat these as historical descriptions, not a complete statement of present Savage loot eligibility. Midas Patch 3.2 Notes · The Creator Patch 3.4 Notes

The Creator’s Alexandrian Gear and Micro Tomestones
Patch 3.57 removed the weekly limitation on Alexandrian Gears received for completing Alexander – The Soul of the Creator. It also reduced the number of Alexandrian Gears required to exchange for Micro Tomestones from seven to four, and increased the Alexander Savage Echo to 15%. These are explicit changes in the Patch 3.57 notes; the four-gear exchange figure concerns this historical The Creator weapon-currency route. Square Enix: Patch 3.57 Notes
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to verify before farming now
- Whether the current duty shows a weekly restriction for the exact token or completion reward you need.
- Whether your chosen Normal floor or Savage area awards that specific tier’s currency.
- Whether the exchange NPC still lists the item and the same token or page cost in your current client.
- Whether you want armor/accessories or the separate completion currency used toward a weapon.
Historical costs are useful for identifying the right currency and planning a target, but present-day eligibility should come from the duty reward display and exchange list. The listed patch notes document release-era rules and later changes only where stated.
