To start the Omega raid questline in Final Fantasy XIV, reach level 70 on a Disciple of War or Magic, complete the Stormblood main scenario, then accept The Hunt for Omega from Wedge in Rhalgr’s Reach (X:12.6 Y:12.4). The first normal raid tier, Deltascape, begins with Into the Deltascape, which Cid gives you in the Interdimensional Rift.

What you need before starting Omega

  • Be level 70 on a Disciple of War or Magic. The current Lodestone quest listing excludes limited jobs.
  • Complete the Stormblood main scenario through The Lochs.

These are the requirements currently listed for The Hunt for Omega in SQUARE ENIX’s Version 7.56 Eorzea Database. Quest names and coordinates here follow the North American English listings.

Start the Omega questline

  1. Go to Wedge in Rhalgr’s Reach at X:12.6 Y:12.4 and accept The Hunt for Omega.
  2. Complete the quest and follow the Chronicles of a New Era quest prompts.
  3. To unlock the first normal raid tier, accept Into the Deltascape from Cid in the Interdimensional Rift at X:17.3 Y:18.9.

SQUARE ENIX’s Patch 4.01 notes list Deltascape normal as an eight-player, level-70 duty with an average item-level requirement of 295 when it launched. They also state that Duty Finder solo queue is available after unlocking it. Because those figures come from the 2017 patch notes, treat the item-level threshold as historical rather than a confirmed current entry gate.

Unlock Sigmascape and Alphascape

Omega’s normal raids progress in order through three tiers: Deltascape, Sigmascape, then Alphascape. Continue the Chronicles of a New Era quests shown in your journal after completing each tier’s preceding story quests.

#1 Best Overall
Final Fantasy XIV Online: 60 Day Time Card [Online Game Code]
  • Adventure awaits you beyond the horizon in FINAL FANTASY XIV.
  • This product is a digital 60-Day Game Time Card for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. It serves as a payment option that allows players to add 60 days of game time to their FFXIV account at the Standard subscription rate, subject to account limits. Both the game and game time are required to play.
  • This product can be redeemed on service accounts registered with the Windows, Mac, PlayStation, or Steam versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. However, it cannot be redeemed on service accounts that have only the XBOX or Nintendo Switch 2 versions registered.
  • Sigmascape: SQUARE ENIX’s Patch 4.2 notes identify Return to the Rift as a prior Chronicles of a New Era quest in its progression. The notes describe the normal duty as level 70 and for eight players.
  • Alphascape: the Patch 4.4 notes identify Test World of Ruin as a prerequisite for In the Beginning, There Was Chaos, the tier’s opening quest. At launch, Alphascape normal was an eight-player, level-70 duty with an average item-level requirement of 355; that item-level figure is historical, not a verified current gate.

Quest prompts provide the next step as you progress. The available official notes establish these predecessor quests but do not reliably document every intermediate quest giver and location, so use the active journal rather than relying on an assumed complete NPC-by-NPC route.

Normal mode and Savage are separate unlocks

Unlocking a normal tier does not automatically unlock its Savage duties. Savage has its own quest and entry conditions. For Deltascape Savage, SQUARE ENIX’s Patch 4.05 notes direct level-70 players to the Magitek Terminal in Rhalgr’s Reach (X:13.5 Y:12.4) after completing The Anomaly. Check the relevant tier’s quest progression for its Savage access instead of assuming that normal-mode access covers it.
