Advance a new account to stage 1-4, open Selective Summon, and keep a useful five-star hero rather than spending ages chasing a perfect roll. Current community guides recommend Iseria for broad early PvE usefulness, with Destina as a healing-and-cleansing alternative. You do not need to reroll for Sigret: those guides say she is available later through Hunt missions.
How to reroll in Epic Seven
- Reach stage 1-4. Current community guides say Selective Summon unlocks after this point in the opening story. See the Epic Seven Wiki reroll guide and Epic7db.com progression guide.
- Compare Selective Summon results. The current guides describe repeated attempts and a function for recording one result while continuing to compare. They report that attempts are unlimited, but the official material cited below does not confirm that limit; check the live game if the number of attempts matters to you.
- Choose a practical keeper. Favor a hero with useful early PvE applications over perfect four-star heroes or artifacts. Iseria is the strongest-supported broad-use recommendation in the guides reviewed; Destina is a reasonable alternative if you prefer a healer and cleanser.
- Confirm your choice before binding. The reroll guide warns that binding before confirming the intended result can lock in the wrong account state. Once you are satisfied, bind the account and move on.
- Build through free progression. Use Connections and Hunt missions to add early heroes rather than expecting the Selective result to supply a complete team.
What Selective Summon guarantees—and what is less certain
Smilegate’s May 28, 2021 announcement said the Selection Summon system was improved to guarantee five-star heroes and let players temporarily save their current results. That official announcement establishes the guarantee and save feature as of that update; it does not say that attempts are unlimited. The unlimited-attempt claim comes from current unofficial guides, so treat it as guide-reported rather than an officially verified current rule.
Which starting hero should you keep?
Iseria: the broad PvE pick
Current guides recommend Iseria for her defense break and usefulness across early PvE, including Hunt and Abyss content. This is community advice, not an official ranking. If you want one straightforward target for a broadly useful start, Iseria is the best-supported choice in the guides reviewed.
Destina: a sustain-focused alternative
Destina brings healing and cleansing, which can make early battles safer. Guides differ in how they weigh her PvE value, so regard her as an alternative for players who value that safety net—not as an equally universal top pick.

Other usable results: stop when the account is good enough
A current starter guide also names Ken, Angelica, Clarissa, and Sez as acceptable fallback results. Selective Summon pool availability can change, so check the live in-game pool before chasing a particular fallback. The point is not to settle for a hero you dislike; it is to avoid treating every roll below an ideal screenshot as a failed account.
Why not reroll for Sigret?
Current guides identify Sigret as a later Hunt-mission reward. Since progression can provide her, spending reroll time specifically to obtain her from Selective Summon is unnecessary.

Four-star heroes and artifacts are optional extras
One guide mentions possible bonuses such as Magaraha’s Tome, Aurius, or Tagehel’s Ancient Book, and heroes such as Rose or Achates. These are optional optimizations, not requirements for a sound start; chasing them can lengthen rerolling considerably.
Why your early team matters more than one perfect pull
The Selective hero is only one part of the opening roster. Current guides describe Furious, Alexa, and either Angelica or specialty-changed Angelic Montmorancy as obtainable through Connections or ordinary progression, and Sigret as a Hunt-mission unit. That means you can assemble important pieces for early Hunt progression without demanding that Selective Summon produce a complete Wyvern team.

A current unofficial getting-started guide reports an anniversary period from August 27 through October 29, 2026, with 20 Covenant summons per day. A current official STOVE result advertises “1,260 Free Summons,” but the available excerpt does not establish full eligibility, claim rules, or terms. These details are time-sensitive; check the live in-game notice or full official promotion terms before relying on the dates or totals. Do not invest excessive time rerolling based only on a fan guide’s calculation of the event’s opportunity cost.
