You can play Sifu on a supported phone or tablet by streaming it through Xbox Cloud Gaming and connecting a compatible controller. Xbox currently lists the game for cloud play with Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate, but check the live catalog for your region and plan before subscribing or relying on access.
What you need to play Sifu on a phone or tablet
- A supported iPhone, iPad, Android phone, or Android tablet. Xbox’s mobile page lists supported devices and operating-system requirements; check it for the current requirements.
- Xbox Cloud Gaming availability in your region and a Game Pass plan that currently includes Sifu. Xbox lists Essential, Premium, and Ultimate for cloud play on its Sifu cloud listing.
- A compatible controller connected by Bluetooth or wire. Xbox identifies Sifu as controller-playable.
- A reliable internet connection. Xbox recommends 5 GHz Wi-Fi or mobile data at 20 Mbps or higher. This is a recommendation, not a promise of low latency or uninterrupted play.
How to start Sifu through Xbox Cloud Gaming
- Check access: Open the Xbox Sifu cloud listing and confirm that the game and an eligible Game Pass plan are available where you are.
- Connect your controller: Pair a compatible Xbox or PlayStation controller with your phone or tablet over Bluetooth, or connect it by wire. For device-specific pairing help, use the support links on Xbox on Mobile.
- Open the cloud service: In a mobile browser, go to Xbox Cloud Gaming, sign in, find Sifu, and start the stream.
- Check the controls: Confirm the game responds to the controller before beginning. A touchscreen is not needed for this controller-focused setup.
How to connect an Xbox controller to a phone or tablet
Use Bluetooth pairing or a wired connection; the exact steps depend on the controller and mobile device. Xbox lists Xbox and PlayStation controllers among compatible options and provides device-specific help from its mobile gaming page. If the controller does not appear, check that it is in pairing mode and consult the device and controller instructions rather than assuming the cloud game is at fault.
Cloud gaming or remote play: which route fits?

Remote play is a separate option if you own and have configured an Xbox console; it is not required for Xbox Cloud Gaming. Xbox explains both mobile play options on its Xbox on Mobile page.
Choosing a controller for mobile play
A standard compatible Xbox or PlayStation controller is enough if you can connect it by Bluetooth or wire. A phone-mounted mobile controller is optional and can provide a more handheld grip. Xbox’s mobile page features Backbone One as an accessory example, but check the exact model’s connector and physical fit for your phone before buying; it is not required to play.

What to check if the stream stutters or feels delayed
- Check the connection and try a stable 5 GHz Wi-Fi network or mobile data. Xbox’s recommendation is 20 Mbps or higher, but meeting it does not guarantee that inputs will feel immediate.
- Confirm Xbox Cloud Gaming is supported and available in your location, and that Sifu remains in the catalog for your plan.
- Make sure the controller is connected to the phone or tablet and that the game is receiving its inputs.
Sifu is timing-sensitive, so network delay may affect play even when the stream starts successfully.

Steam’s Steam Cloud Play documentation describes GeForce NOW as the first cloud service connected to Steam Cloud Play and says it can stream games from a Steam library to supported devices, including Android. That documentation does not establish that Sifu is currently available on GeForce NOW in every region, storefront, or membership tier. Check GeForce NOW’s live catalog and the supported device list before treating it as an alternative.
