How do I earn Mythic Prisms?
Blizzard lists two ways to get Mythic Prisms: earn them through the Premium Battle Pass or purchase them directly in game. The Premium pass is the progression route; buying Prisms is the direct alternative. Blizzard’s Mythic Shop FAQ says a completed Premium Battle Pass provides 80 Mythic Prisms. Check the current pass in game for its season-specific rewards.

The FAQ describes a schedule of 8 Prisms every 10 tiers, beginning at Tier 8 and continuing through Tier 78. Treat that as the schedule in the FAQ, not a verified tier-by-tier schedule for the current season. For example, Blizzard’s April 2026 Season 2: Summit announcement advertised up to 80 Prisms in that season’s Premium Battle Pass, but does not confirm the current season’s tier schedule.
Can I get Mythic Prisms from the free Battle Pass?
Not according to Blizzard’s published FAQ: it says the Free Battle Pass and Challenges do not award Mythic Prisms. The FAQ also says Coins and Credits cannot be exchanged for Prisms. Its listed routes are the Premium Battle Pass and direct Prism purchases.

How do I unlock Mythic skins?
- Get Mythic Prisms. Earn them through the Premium Battle Pass or purchase them in game.
- Open the Mythic Shop. Review the currently available Mythic cosmetics and the Prism cost shown for the specific item.
- Choose the skin and its tiers. Check the item’s current tier details before spending. Mythic Prisms can be used for Mythic Hero skins and Mythic Weapon skins.
Blizzard changed how Mythic Hero skins unlock beginning in Season 19. Its Season 19 announcement says, “At Tier 1, you’ll unlock the complete Mythic skin design.” Later tiers provide customization options, such as alternate components, colorways, and ambient effects. The number and contents of tiers vary by item, so do not assume every Mythic follows the same progression.
How many Mythic Prisms does a Mythic skin cost?
There is no single current cost established for every Mythic cosmetic. Check the live Mythic Shop for the item you want and its displayed tier costs. Blizzard’s earlier pricing is useful only as historical context: its April 2024 patch notes set a Hero Mythic skin’s base unlock at 50 Prisms and each of three additional levels at 10, for 80 total to unlock all four stages. That older model should not be treated as a universal current price or tier structure after the Season 19 change.

Should I earn or buy Mythic Prisms?
The right route depends on whether you want the Premium Battle Pass’s other rewards and progression, how many Prisms the specific item currently costs, and what a direct purchase costs on your platform and in your region. Blizzard confirms the two routes but does not establish one universal live purchase price across platforms or regions. Compare the current in-game pass and store offers rather than relying on an old price list.

Blizzard’s FAQ says featured Mythics may leave the shop after their season and describes past Mythics returning after two seasons, but that does not establish today’s inventory or guarantee a specific item’s return date.
