Check the live browser on your console before planning around it. If you do enable a cheat mod, treat it as a change to that modded campaign: Larian warns that modded saves can fail to load or crash, and some saves depend on their mods remaining enabled.
Can you use Cheater’s Menu on PS5 or Xbox?
Baldur’s Gate 3 has official mod support through its in-game Mod Manager, introduced with Patch 7. Xbox Wire confirmed the Patch 7 Mod Manager release on Xbox Series X|S on October 2, 2024: Xbox Wire. That establishes console mod browsing, but it does not establish that the specific mod called “Cheater’s Menu” is currently approved or available on either console.
Open the Mod Manager in your game and search for the exact name. Check the listing’s platform availability, description, requirements, and compatibility information before enabling it. Listings and compatibility can change; the current presence of this particular mod on PS5 or Xbox is not confirmed here. Its exact controls are also not established, so rely on the instructions in the live listing rather than an assumed button sequence.
If it does not appear for your platform, there is no verified console workaround in the sources cited here. PC-only tools or console commands are not substitutes for a mod listed in the console Mod Manager.

How to approach a cheat mod without risking your main campaign
Official mod support is not the same as a guarantee that every modded save will remain stable. Larian lists loading failures and crashes among possible mod issues, and says updates, dependencies, or conflicts can affect supported mods. It also states: “We are unable to directly manage or fix any player-created mods.” See Larian’s Mod Issues guidance.
- Check the listing first. Read the mod description and requirements in the Mod Manager. Confirm it is available on your console and compatible with your game version.
- Keep your existing campaign separate. As a precaution, try the mod in a separate campaign before making it part of a long-running save. This is a cautious practice, not a guarantee that a separate campaign or backup prevents damage.
- Track what the save uses. Note the mods and versions enabled for a campaign. Do not disable a mod that an existing save depends on just to see whether the save will load.
- Use the verification prompt carefully. If the game asks to reconcile mods while loading a save or joining multiplayer, inspect the proposed changes and match the save’s required mods and versions rather than dismissing a dependency without understanding the consequence.
What to do if a save will not load
Larian’s mod verification guidance describes options to download, enable, update, or downgrade mods so that they match a save or multiplayer session. Follow the verification window’s prompts and consult Larian’s Synchronising Mods guidance rather than repeatedly changing the mod set on the only copy of a campaign.

If the game crashes or stalls while loading, record the enabled mods and their versions, then review Larian’s current Mod Issues guidance. Larian’s console notice about recovery concerns a particular issue involving saves that had exceeded a 100-mod limit; it says some saves may require mods to remain enabled and warns that instability can persist during recovery. Larian’s statement is explicit: “While this fix aims to restore access to these saves, due to the nature of modding, you may still encounter instability.” Do not treat advice for that specific recovery situation as a general recipe for removing mods from any campaign: Small Console Fix Incoming.
Xbox cross-save as a recovery option
For the Xbox save-loss issue described by Larian, the support page says cross-save can recover the last five saves if that issue recurs. This is a recovery measure for that stated scenario, not a promise to restore every mod-related failure. To enable it, link a Larian account and use Options > Gameplay > Save Options > Cross-play. Playing with friends or keeping a mod-free run
For multiplayer, Larian says participants need the same mods and versions. The verification window can prompt players to download, enable, update, or downgrade mods to align with a save or session; see Synchronising Mods and Official Mod Support.
If your priority is preserving a mod-free campaign, leave its mod set unchanged and use a separate campaign to explore mods. If you are trying to solve a particular gameplay problem, consider whether an in-game difficulty option or another ordinary gameplay choice meets that need without changing the campaign’s mod set; the sources cited here do not establish a specific setting’s effect.
