What Threadspun Town asks you to do
Threadspun Town is a Bellhart quest in Act 1. Its objective is to break the silken curse trapping the town. The quest becomes available when Hornet first enters Haunted Bellhart, according to the Silksong Wiki’s quest page and a progression guide from TheGamer.
How to reach Widow
1. Leave Bellhart for Shellwood
Use the route from Bellhart toward Shellwood. A Threadspun Town guide from AltChar recommends finding Shakra there, who sells maps for both Bellhart and Shellwood. The route continues toward Sister Splinter.
2. Get Cling Grip
Cling Grip grants Hornet the ability to climb walls. You need it to access the upper approach toward Bellhart and Widow. Follow the route through Sister Splinter to acquire it; then return toward the earlier boss area and use the newly climbable walls and bell walls to continue upward.

3. Open the bench shortcut
Before pressing on to Widow, open the tunnel shortcut to the nearby bench. AltChar recommends this detour because the boss may take several attempts, making the bench a useful return point.
4. Reach and defeat Widow
Continue along the upper route to find Widow, the source of Bellhart’s curse. Defeating her breaks the curse. If you are having trouble with the fight, the bench shortcut lets you retry without repeating as much of the approach.

What happens after the fight
Widow’s defeat opens the cocoons around Bellhart and wakes the town. The aftermath continues beyond the boss: AltChar describes acquiring Needolin after the fight, then crossing a section with disappearing platforms and ringing the bell. Treat these as the remaining sequence after the curse is lifted; the sources describe the quest’s final completion point differently. The Threadspun Town quest page lists Bellhart’s bench, shops, Wish Board, and related questlines among the benefits of restoring the town.

These route details come from independent walkthroughs and a wiki, rather than official Team Cherry documentation. The guides agree on Widow and the curse but provide different levels of detail about the full route and when the quest counts as complete.
