Spoiler note: This guide explains the collection’s contents and investigation mechanics, but does not give unverified case-by-case puzzle solutions. For a specific case, use the on-screen clues and evidence names; the official sources listed here establish how the games work, not every solution.
What’s in Ace Attorney Investigations Collection?
The collection brings together Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit. You play as prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, solving mysteries through investigation scenes rather than the courtroom-focused structure of the mainline games. The collection is listed for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows/Steam. PlayStation’s listing describes the games and features; Steam’s listing names Capcom as developer and publisher.
Release dates depend on storefront and territory: Steam lists 5 September 2024, while Nintendo UK and Xbox US list 6 September 2024. See the Nintendo UK listing or Xbox US listing for those regional dates.
How to play: the investigation loop
Most progress comes from exploring crime scenes, collecting evidence, speaking with people involved, and connecting clues through logic and deduction. If you are searching for an “Ace Attorney Investigations Collection walkthrough” because you are stuck, first determine whether the game expects more scene exploration, a conversation, or a deduction using evidence already collected.

- Explore the current area. Move around the scene and examine visible objects. Record the evidence and details the game adds to your Court Record.
- Speak with persons of interest. Work through available dialogue; new statements or events can make an earlier clue relevant.
- Use logic and deduction when prompted. Compare the facts the game has presented and select the evidence that supports the inference it is asking you to make.
- Recheck the scene after events change. An object that seemed exhausted may have new information after dialogue or a plot development.
What to examine next when a scene seems exhausted
In this collection, examined objects receive check marks. Capcom director and game planner Satoru Sakai explains that a mark disappears when something changes and the object has new information available. Scan the scene for objects whose marks have cleared, then inspect them again; this is a useful signal that the scene has changed rather than a reason to repeat every interaction blindly. Sakai’s Capcom article describes this behavior.
Walkthrough coverage: what can be verified
The official collection pages and Capcom’s developer article confirm the games, investigation loop, and collection features, but they do not enumerate case solutions, evidence combinations, or confrontation responses. That means a reliable walkthrough for a particular chapter needs verified steps from its actual gameplay; supplying guessed answers would risk sending you to the wrong evidence or dialogue option.

Use the in-game chapter and location labels to identify your current point. Explore each newly available area, examine scene objects, speak to available characters, and revisit any object whose check mark disappears after a development. The official material cited here does not establish a complete step-by-step solution for this game’s individual cases.
Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit
The same investigation-first approach applies in the second game: gather facts, question people, and use deductions to connect evidence. The official material cited here does not provide verified case-by-case answers for Prosecutor’s Gambit, so this guide does not invent specific evidence pairings or dialogue responses.

Story Mode and Autoplay: what each assist does
Autoplay advances dialogue. Story Mode automatically handles puzzles and advances the story, and can be switched on or off. Capcom says Story Mode is available at any time, but there is an important exception for investigations: enabling it during an Investigation segment restarts that segment from its beginning because the player can move freely around the map. If you only want help with one puzzle, account for that restart before turning it on. The PlayStation feature description and Sakai’s explanation describe these options and the Investigation reset.

The collection offers HD character designs, an optional classic pixel-art style, Chapter Select, Autoplay, and a gallery containing artwork, animations, design materials, and music. The director warns that gallery material can spoil the main games, so leave browsing until after you have finished if you want to avoid story revelations.
