Bots returned to Battlefield 6 Verified Experiences on November 6. Conquest, Breakthrough and Rush can each include up to 12 bots, and rounds begin once 8 players have joined. Bots earn reduced XP; human players retain 100% XP, and challenges remain completable. EA has not specified the bots’ exact XP rate.
What changed in Battlefield 6 Verified Experiences?
Battlefield Studios announced that bots were reintroduced to Verified Experiences on November 6 in response to player feedback. The rules apply to three named modes: Conquest, Breakthrough and Rush. Each supports up to 12 bots, and a round begins once 8 players have joined. EA describes that player threshold without specifying that all eight must be human players.

The update distinguishes bot XP from player XP: bots grant reduced XP, while player XP remains at 100%. Challenges remain completable. The update does not state a percentage or multiplier for bot XP, so there is no confirmed exact rate to apply to bot kills. Battlefield Studios’ update also says that PvE bots in Custom Portal Experiences were unaffected.
How do XP and progression differ in Verified and Custom Experiences?
EA’s Portal 101 guide describes the usual progression distinction between Verified and Custom Community Experiences. Verified Experiences grant the listed Career XP match-completion and win bonuses, Hardware XP, and Mission and Assignment progress at the same amounts as a normal Multiplayer match. Custom Community Experiences do not receive those standard progression rates and are labeled “Modified XP.” The later bot update adds an important qualification: in the named Verified modes, bots receive reduced XP even though player XP remains at 100%.

These rules address XP and challenge progress, not stat tracking. EA separately notes on the Battlefield 6 game page that “Stats in any Casual or Portal mode that backfill with AI are not tracked.” That tracking caveat does not say human XP is reduced.
How to find a bot-enabled Verified Experience
From the main menu, open the Community area and browse the Community Experience Library. The library lets you search by tags, maps and modes, words, or an experience code. If you want to narrow down available servers, the Server Browser can sort by player count, map and ping, and filter by region, maximum players, tags and other options. The available filters and results may vary with what is currently published.

How to create and publish a Verified Modes experience
EA Help describes this creator flow for setting up a Verified Modes experience:
- Select Create New, then choose Verified Modes.
- Pick a game mode and edit the options available for that mode.
- Use the Teams tab to configure options such as maximum players, teams, human players, AI players and squad revive settings. AI settings are also available among the modifiers.
- Publish the experience when its configuration is ready.
For detailed interface guidance, see EA Help’s Battlefield Portal guide. The bot reintroduction update does not say that every Portal mode supports this arrangement; it names Conquest, Breakthrough and Rush.

The earlier Portal progression changes are part of the context behind the “XP nerf” framing. In an October 2025 community note, EA discussed efforts to reduce XP farming and said players would need to republish experiences after backend changes.
