The best Yakuza minigames turn a quick break from the story into an activity you may happily lose an evening to. This ranked list favors variety, distinctive mechanics and memorable detours—not an official SEGA ranking or a measured player poll. The series changes its lineup from game to game, so each pick names the entry where its version is documented.
1. Karaoke — Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and other entries
Karaoke is the series’ most characterful rhythm-game diversion: sing along to a track, follow the prompts and enjoy the party’s reactions. In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, karaoke is available at three locations and can deepen bonds with party members. Yakuza 0 also features karaoke with a 1980s setting. Its mix of music and character moments makes it the most immediately recognizable pick.

2. Pocket Circuit — Yakuza 0
Pocket Circuit combines model-car collecting, setup decisions and racing. In Yakuza 0, players customize cars with more than 100 parts before racing them. Choosing parts gives the activity more of a tinkering loop than a simple arcade race, while the races put those choices to work. SEGA’s official Yakuza 0 page describes it as a minigame where players “Customize a model car and race them against each other.”
3. Disco dancing — Yakuza 0
Yakuza 0’s disco turns rhythm prompts into a performance: dance solo, invite a partner or take on a dance battle. It earns a place beside karaoke because it has a different feel—less about singing along and more about timing and showmanship. SEGA’s page also notes the activity’s collaboration with the real-life Maharaja disco hall.

- A LEGEND IS REBORN AND A NEW LEGACY BEGINS: Two men will walk different paths that converge to shake the very foundations of fate.
- Yakuza Kiwami 3: Continue the story of ex-yakuza Kazuma Kiryu as he fights to protect those he loves in an extreme remake of Yakuza 3 that evolves every aspect of the beloved game.
- Dark Ties: Experience the brand-new tale of Yoshitaka Mine from Yakuza 3 in an included separate game.
4. Dondoko Island — Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth gives Ichiban a resort to restore on Dondoko Island. Clear trash-filled areas, furnish the space, raise its rank and host guests. This is the list’s most substantial management-and-customization detour: rather than chasing a high score in a short session, you shape a place over time.
5. Sujimon League — Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Kasuga recruits Sujimon, builds a team and battles trainers in a tournament structure. The collection-and-battle loop gives the game a distinct side system alongside its city activities. It is a strong pick for players who enjoy assembling a roster and seeing how a team performs, rather than mastering a reflex-based challenge.

- THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE DRAGON.
- A year after the 10-billion-yen incident, the dragons of East & West clash, and an intense battle unfolds to determine the one true dragon.
- Endless Exploration. Brutal Brawling Action. Bonus Majima Saga.

6. Retro arcade games — several entries, different lineups
Arcade cabinets are a recurring pleasure, but their game selections are specific to each title—not one shared series-wide lineup.
- Yakuza 0: Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone, Super Hang-On and Out Run, listed on SEGA’s official page.
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: Virtua Fighter 3tb, SpikeOut and SEGA Bass Fishing, listed in the official manual.
- Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name: arcade and Master System games including Fighting Vipers 2, SEGA Racing Classic 2, Galaxy Force and Flicky, named in SEGA’s announcement.
The appeal is partly the chance to step into a different kind of game without leaving the world of the current one. Check the lineup for the specific entry you plan to play.

- Complete the journey of the Dragon: the Yakuza remastered collection brings the final missing chapters in Kiryu's story to the PlayStation 4. From Yakuza 0 to Yakuza 6: the song of life, players can now experience the full story of the Dragon of Dojima, all on a single platform
- remastered and refreshed: all three games in the collection have received impressive graphical and performance upgrades, from 720p at 30FPS to 1080p at 60FPS and have also gone through a rigorous re-localization process. Missing content from the original Western releases has been re-added to the remastered versions, and the full English scripts have been reviewed, revised, and had portions rewritten for accuracy alongside the original Japanese releases
- Playstation 4
7. Mahjong — Yakuza 0 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Mahjong offers a slower, more rules-driven break from the series’ action and rhythm activities. It is documented in Yakuza 0 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth; the latter manual also notes friendly matches with party members. Its depth is part of the attraction, but newcomers should expect a learning curve rather than an instantly intuitive diversion.
8. Crazy Delivery — Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth sends players cycling around Honolulu to deliver food. Collect items and perform stunts to improve earnings and rating. That combination makes Crazy Delivery a lively score-chasing activity, with more action and movement than the game’s management or table-game diversions.
Rank #4
- The PS2-era brawling gameplay is refined for the current gen with Kazuma Kiryu fighting his way through the ranks of Yakuza, only to wind up protecting a young girl whose aunt (and who happens to be Kiryu's childhood sweetheart) is missing...along with 10 billion yen.
- Newcomers or those whose Yakuza experience started with Yakuza 0 will have familiar, exacting controls, top-notch SEGA localization, and a solid starting point for entering the Yakuza franchise fresh.
- Completely new to Kiwami is the "Majima Everywhere" system, where the series' deranged, one-eyed maniac will constantly surprise and challenge Kiryu to combat when he least expects it.
- Kiwami is rebuilt from the ground up with all new HD assets, exclusive Japanese voice audio re-recorded by the series cast, and more; optimized for the PlayStation 4 and running in 1080p/60fps.
9. Darts — Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Like a Dragon Gaiden
Darts gives the series’ social play a compact, competitive format. The Infinite Wealth manual documents darts with friends. For Like a Dragon Gaiden, SEGA specifies DARTSLIVE3 and its Center Count-Up rule. Those details describe the Gaiden version; they should not be assumed to identify the rules or implementation in every other game.
10. Virtua Fighter 3tb and SpikeOut — Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
These arcade picks close the list with an option for playing together. The Infinite Wealth manual says both games support play with other players using separate controllers, and identifies their fighting and action formats. That makes them a particularly good choice when the goal is to hand someone a controller and compete or cooperate, rather than take on a longer solo side activity.

- For a longer management diversion: Dondoko Island in Infinite Wealth.
- For traditional games: mahjong, with the expectation that its rules take time to learn.
- For quick arcade variety: check the cabinet lineup in the particular entry; it changes between games.
- For documented multiplayer options: Infinite Wealth’s karaoke, darts, poker and mahjong with friends, or Virtua Fighter 3tb and SpikeOut with separate controllers. These options are specific to that game and activity.
The franchise’s official game catalog spans Yakuza and Like a Dragon titles, while its franchise portal presents entertainment-district activities as part of the series’ world. SEGA reported 27.7 million total standalone game sales worldwide in February 2025; that is a franchise-wide sales figure, not evidence of minigame popularity or a ranking. SEGA’s announcement provides the figure.
