The outlet later updated its report to say EA had removed the video. The clip was pre-release footage, and the report does not establish that it represented the final game.
What was in the Battlefield 6 gameplay leak?
Insider Gaming reported on July 25, 2025, that the video showed destruction, weapons and other multiplayer gameplay. The outlet attributed it to a recent Battlefield Labs playtest; the reviewed reporting does not independently authenticate the footage or confirm which build it showed. Its contents therefore offer only a limited glimpse of a pre-release session, not a reliable guide to how the finished game plays. Insider Gaming’s report describes the clip and its provenance.
Did EA take down the leaked video?
Yes, according to an update to Insider Gaming’s July 25 report: EA had removed the YouTube video. The outlet said the clip had been uploaded about 10 hours before its story and had gathered more than 100,000 views by then. Both the view count and the removal are outlet-reported, not metrics or statements published by EA. The original video should not be assumed to remain available.
How does the leak fit with other reported footage?
A July 29, 2025 G2A News article discussed the playtest leak alongside other clips, including footage described as 23 minutes from a May session, 45 minutes from an unspecified build, and a recording said to have been made July 19. Those are separate reports about footage, not evidence that all the clips came from the same session or build. The available coverage does not establish enough about their provenance or fidelity to rank them or treat them as representative of the retail release. G2A News’ coverage gives its account of the additional clips.
